Don't touch that! I need a picture first! TR - **NEW 04/17 PTR IS UP

Now I have another mission in Japan and it is NOT Kim's !!!:rotfl2:I love these boards for reasons like this ..you always learn something new !!!

Sounds like a fun evening walking around Epcot. Now, I take it you were able to drive home?

I love this trip report so far! The La Cellier story was so nice, I bet Bubba felt so good knowing no one there had forgotten her! I can only imagine the fun you all had on Test Track! :rotfl2: looking forward to more :thumbsup2

The Japanese display looks very interesting! I need to check this out on my next trip. I think we only saw an exhibition of world heritage sites of Japan in January.

I think I saw something similar earlier this year as well. They're always changing things in there.

Your TT pic is very funny! :lmao: The others look really board, but you are having so much fun. ;)

I am looking forward to read the title story of this TR! :thumbsup2

We had to ham it up just a little. It's a funny story but a staple of what I do on Disney trips.

Great update!
I'm glad ya'll were able to get a designated driver for ride!

I think the CMs caught on to our "disability" and decided it be best we take a back seat :rotfl:

What's that Rosie? You're not a spy after all? I agree, there's TONS of new information to be found. It's just a matter of keeping up with it all.

Sounds like a fun evening walking around Epcot. Now, I take it you were able to drive home?

I guess I left out that minor detail.... By the end of the night Bubba was fine to drive us home. We are responsible people after all

Hi there! :welcome: I'm glad she was welcomed so warmly. Makes anyone travelling with her special too! Thanks for joining in and don't be shy!

Your evening's shenanigans had me laughing out loud. :lmao: Good thing EPCOT's WS goes in a circular direction since you couldn't walk a straight line.

I take it your title for the next installment is a colossal play on words...:rotfl2:

YAY, I was mentioned!

I had no idea you loved Yoshi so much! I really like him too, but I prefer Toad when it comes to Mariokart. Andrew likes Bowser on Mariokart best.

I think that display with the cranes is so nice. When I was told the story of the Thousand Cranes, I started folding them. Got to about 100 and my mom told me to threw my big garbage bag full of paper cranes out....

Love your trip report so far, Jen.........

So, where exactly is the alcove with the cranes? I must have missed this recently. Heading back down in 2 weeks 3 days! I'm sure, my friends would love this, too!

It's in the little museum room outside one of the entrances to Mitsukoshi. The one with the Kidcot station. It's called "Spirited Beasts: From Ancient Stories to Anime Stars"

Hi Jen,:wave2:,
I'm late to the party, but found your TR and was intrigued by the title. Looks like it was a fun filled trip. I would love love love to go on a trip with my sister solo! Sadly, our DH's would never let us go without them! Glad to see you were able to keep your balance on your long walk around the world!

Hey! You in the front with the hat. Wake up! Falling asleep at the wheel again? And we're the ones that had been drinking :sad2: And to think he was still able to manoeuvre us through all those hairpin turns. Now that's talent.
We were happy to have survived such an experience.

Tipsy or not, that's an adorable picture!

No I only spy on Jordan at Petals from the Bushes !!!:rotfl2:

Uh oh. I better watch myself too next time I'm at Le Cellier....

:lmao: Never thought of that! Now that I think about it, they probably did that on purpose!

Wouldn't you know it! :rotfl2:

Gotta give credit where its deserved ;)

I think I did a big post on my obsession with Yoshi in one of my abandoned PTRs from early last year. Yoshi is the best thing of life. Bubba knew I liked him so much that when I was in the hospital getting my appendix out, she gave me a blue Yoshi plush toy. I was so happy but so scared at the same time that I bawled my eyes out. That Yoshi kept me company through my whole recovery. Any time I see something to do with Yoshi, I instantly want/buy it

That would be quite the task to complete! Not to mention how tired my fingers would get. Imagine all the paper cuts :scared:

A little jealous you're going back so soon AND during the holiday season!

There's your answer YodasMom! You can always count on Yuki.

:welcome: You're lucky you have DH's who at least want to go to Disney. My DBF is just not into Disney :sad2: At least he likes to travel! He said he'd be willing to do a Med cruise. I could handle that!

Tipsy or not, that's an adorable picture!

It was right after the zooming part of the ride. I've been trying to recapture the crazy hair moment we had a couple years ago...

Are you sure it wasn't the wine? :lmao:

Nooooo.... what are you talking about? :rolleyes1

Oh no, please tell me you didn't drink and drive... er, ride!;)

Never! We are responsible folk :teeth:

Thank you Jen and Yuki for the info on the Spirited Beasts exhibit. We will check it out!!!

Yes, I'm looking forward to going back (of course)!!! I'm also looking forward to spending the 6 days with good friends who arranged their trip at the same resort and same days so we could spend time together!! That's what the holidays is about! :santa:

Evening Jen !!!Any word on our Meet yet!!!!

Ugh, Rosie... I'm having a terrible time getting that Saturday off. I'm also not sure if Bubba can come anymore. Plans are just falling apart. Not sure if this meet is going to happen :sad2: Maybe we can reschedule for the new year??? My birthday is in January after all. I need somewhere to spend all that birthday money! ;)

Thank you Jen and Yuki for the info on the Spirited Beasts exhibit. We will check it out!!!

I hope you enjoy it! I'd like to see what they have in there when you go. It changes every so often.

That's great! I hope you have a Magical time :goodvibes

It's going to take me several posts before I get to the title post so bear with me!

The next morning, I woke up bright and early at 6am. I always do that on the first full day of the trip. I'm ready and raring to go before the sun even comes up over the horizon. Would I be like this in normal life? No way!

It must be the time of year because it still looked like it was the middle of the night. I wasn't the only early riser as many people were already up, making the walk over to OPR. I had let Bubba sleep a bit longer when I snuck out of the room
to take some morning pictures. When I got back to the room, she was conscious and had started getting ready. Apparently I had forgotten to tell her where I was going and she thought I had abandoned her. Okay, next time I'll wake you up at 6am to tell you I'm going out but you can keep sleeping. Riiiiiight.

We ate our breakfast of cereal, yogurt and orange juice and were on our way to *drum roll*

2wfu1ee.jpg

We arrived at 8:15am and there was already quite a few people lined up. Even though we were far back before they opened the flood gates, we still got right to the front where they make everyone wait before opening the park completely.

See that guy in the pink (yes that's a man and yes I said pink) shirt? He was a huge pain during this whole process. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The characters all came out to welcome us to another fun filled day at Epcot. Donald was the only one who didn't shun those waiting off to the side where we were.

rmv76u.jpg

We counted down and briskly started walking towards Soarin, along with the rest of the park. Remember that pink shirt guy?

351i8lk.jpg

He decided that rules don't apply to him and his son so he decided to start running ahead of the CMs. That did not fair well with the CM trying to control the hoards of people behind him. Without trying to cause a scene, he politely asked the gentlemen to stay behind him. Poor guy. Their arms can only extend so far. They really should hold a 50 ft rope or something. Back you beasts, back!

Despite all that commotion, we were getting closer.

281exed.jpg

This was probably the worst crowd we experienced the entire trip. A lot more pushing and shoving than normal... I'll let you interpret what's normal. There was this ever so sweet lady that was in front of us in the crowd. It looked as if she was not a frequent reader on the DIS and this huge mass of people is not what she was expecting. As we were walking, Bubba and I were talking about something that made her think we were frequent visitors. She turned and asked where the Fastpasses were because she didn't actually want to ride Soarin yet. We directed her the whole way and hopefuly she grabbed those coveted fastpasses. She was such a nice lady.

Bubba and I had different plans which were to walk straight into the standby queue.

With a minimum wait, we were already assigned in row 2.

ank3zo.jpg

Yay, excitement!

332qhcw.jpg

After that picture, I had to get us take a normal one

2n1c9qb.jpg

That's better. We enjoyed our relaxing ride flying over the fields of oranges (which are actually avocadoes) and spotting the Hidden Mickey on the golf ball. Once we landed, we grabbed a fastpass for later then went over to Living with the Land. Bubba wanted to ride this before our Behind the Seeds tour to get us all psyched up. Um, it's plants and fish. How exciting can plants and fish get? Boy, was I about to bite my tongue...

i4mlwk.jpg

I'll spare you all the amazing and exciting pictures I took of all the plant life in the greenhouses. Don't get me wrong, I find it interesting, but I'm not sure why I always take so many pictures.

Remember that sign that says "Do not touch the sand" Does anyone know why you shouldn't touch the sand in the greenhouses? And it's not because they don't want you building sand castles!

The Behind the Seeds tour didn't start until 11:30am so we walked to World Showcase to pick out the food stations we wanted to try. It was completely empty since WS wasn't open yet. Why couldn't it be this empty all the time?! Everything was still closed up but it was peacefully quiet. I could have taken a seat in the back of UK and just get lost in my thoughts. But that wouldn't make for an exciting TR now would it? Instead, let me entertain you with our frolicking in an empty World Showcase!

Bubba wanted to have a look at how the menu at Le Cellier had changed. Not like she saw it last night or anything :rolleyes1

After Canada, we went over to the UK, which is always packed with people during the day. I find myself rushing through all the time. It was nice to finally step back and be able to actually see the buildings. In fact, this building I had never noticed before!

24mchgi.jpg

I never realized how pretty it was. There's also this cute country house, which is the tea shoppe.

8vzxwh.jpg

I never did get myself any more tea. Darn!

And look! Another thing I've never noticed before!

2vao1hc.jpg

It's one of those old fashioned clocks thing-a-ma-jigs. Oh gosh, the word has totally escaped me. Someone, help me out.

And this one will make a very nice wallpaper

w7y4ph.jpg

A very generous CM offered to take this picture for us. I don't think he knew how to operate a camera very well but we appreciated his efforts.

111jiiv.jpg

We tried to get our morning fix, but sadly the pub was closed.

2afevyc.jpg

We couldn't go any further after the UK as the border to France was closed. Perfect timing as they had just opened the International Gateway so people were starting to flood in. We started making our way back for our Behind the Seeds tour!

Coming up next....
