14 day ultimate ticket is going to be cost affective for us (still might be wrong and i am in the early stages of planning the tickets) However, I thought that I would compare the Ultimate with the Annual Passes and the Magic your Way tickets so that we can use them next year but I can't find anywhere either on the tickets websites or disney that will allow me to cost the Magic your way tickets. As soon as you type in UK it reverts back to the 14 and 21 Ultimate and 7 day :headache:

Don't forget to take off the DVC discounts for Annual Passes too Ali :)

Also remember you have to compair the PAP with the MYW hopper & +

The Ap just get you into the parks with hopper
The PAP get you the water parks and DQ as well .

with the dvc discount it comes in at $414 and say with the 10 day Magic your way it comes in at $387 (we don't park hop) . was wondering as we are breaking the holiday in the middle for a couple of days to VB if we say go to disney the second week and then as we go at the same time every year they would still be valued witin the 365 day frame:confused3 or maybe just go for the Magic your way and that we don't panic if we don't get at the same time.
decisions decisions :rotfl:

Miffy have you used florida attactions tickets and do the tickets are quickly and reliably and Johnny would you use Maple tickets again.

As I said we bought the 14 day ultimate this year and we hardly used them okay this was due to family members not likeing disney :confused: but it has got me thinking about other options

thanks everyone

Ali I always buy an Annual Pass now as I like the freedom it gives me so I can't help with your question I am really sorry! I often pop into a park for an hour or two for say a meal and like the fact that I don't resent "wasting" a day off my pass.

Next trip I am going to just get an AP I think rather than a PAP andf then if we do decide to spend a day at a waterpark we get a discount with the AP on entry I think.

I also like the discounts I get with my AP :) Especially the ability to buy a Disney Dining Experience card which gives 20% off a lot of dining options :)

You could always just get one AP for someone in your party to get the discounts though, and go for another of the tickets for everyone else.

Miffy the thing that worries me about the AP is that our son is 20 and unfortunatley has no ID i.e. drivers lic. etc because he broke he neck a couple of years ago and the stipulation says you must have the ID with your home address on it. He does live with us so how (if you know) would we manage it. Would I contact member services.

You have got me thinking because I never thought of the dining options either just going in to the parks for dinner. Can I be nosey and ask if you go for more than two weeks.

Just thought I'd throw in a couple more well known sites for you to compare prices of MYW tickets ;

these are US based but have free UK delivery ;

http://www.undercovertourist.com/

http://www.ticketmania.com/

.....and this is a British site;

http://www.park-tickets.com/

We like the basic MYW tickets, ( non waterpark, non hopping etc) because we do like to have rest/shopping days between the parks and we always make a plan of which Disney parks, & when, we are going and stick to it- so the Ultimate tickets (though great for true Disney nuts and people who prefer wider flexibility) are not for us.

As we visit every couple of years, we get MYW tickets non expiry, to save money; ie a 7 or 10 day ticket will cover 2 trips and allows us to get into the parks at a good reduced rate against gate prices.

Definitely, we actually bought the 10 day premium MYW tickets from their shop in Kissimmee in August - the reason we wanted these is that we do not visit WDW every day so we wanted passes that never expire plus hopper facility, we also get 5 days at water parks too.
Should last us 3 holidays I reckon. There are many variations of the MYW ticket to suit all needs, but personally I have never seen the point in getting tickets that expire once your holiday ends.

MapleLeaf issue actual tickets at discounted prices, and also post quickly to the UK at a very reasonable rate.

The only problem they have, not of their doing, is their shop is right in the middle of the roadworks on the 192, opposite Medieval Times, so it was a bit of a mess round there when we last went.
However, I can recommend them and we would not use anyone else.

We used Mapleleaf tickets and have to agree with above. We recieved fantastic service, we chose to have the tickets sent to us here in the UK instead of picking them up from them. If my memory serves me correctly, they arrived within 3 days of ordering.
Any questions we had were answered very quickly.

can all of the above send you them here to the UK and are the actual tickets and not vouchers even for the universal and sea world is it tickets or vouchers does anybody know.

Hello Ali, I use the AP in much the same way as Karen (Miffy) and I do go for more than 2 weeks, but even if I didn't, I like the ability to be able to pop in for a meal, or a few hours so much, it would still be worth it to me. And, with the DVC discount ......... well ;)

I would find it hard to believe - although I don't know - that you would have any difficulty getting an AP for your son. Especially as you order them on the DVC website, they send you vouchers and it is up to you to provide proof when you pick up the actual passes. As your son will be with you, I would imagine that the situation will be obvious and that his passport would suffice.

If you do decide to go with one of the other options, I've used Undercover Tourist quite a few times and have been very pleased with their service too, and yes, they are actual tickets and not vouchers :)

All the sites that I have listed above, issue real tickets and do Universal & Sea World etc too. :flower:

Hope you are able to sort out your options from all the information you have recieved from everyone :flower3:

Ali, I completely agree with Moira (Pootle). I too, don't know for a fact but as Moira says I can't imagine the situation would be a problem.

For reassurance, why not email Member services? Then you could print the reply and take it with you which might be reassuring for you anyway :) (Assuming you go ahead and order the vouchers of course :) )
