Yep, I learned my lesson too. But not until I'd gotten mad and acted for a moment like a crazy person. And this year, when we go (in 13 days, yay) my daughter has already informed me she is NOT going on Snow White or any DARK rides.

21. Pin Junkies - These gentle and friendly creatures are usually loaded to the forehead with collectable pins. They tend to just sit at the Pin Trading tables and can be easily avoided if people adorned in elaborately decorated sharp objects scare you.

Don't get them confused with the next type of guest. They're harmless.

22. The Tour Guide - This is classic Disneyland type. They're like "Pin Junkies" except nobody can stand them. You usually get stuck next to them in a long line. They consider themselves and authority on the park and think everybody wants to hear their "insider" information even if you try to tell them you already know. The problem with shutting them down is that they often feel the need to redeem themselves by telling you something you don't already know which is even more annoying if you know more than they do.
They tend to have a look about them (lanyard with pins and their AP proudly displayed) but sometimes they travel incognito so they can be hard to spot.

It's best to just ignore them otherwise they will recite the entire Wikipedia page on Disneyland to you. They exist on these boards but are far more annoying in person and are much harder to get away from once they've latched onto you.

OK, I'll admit I have intentionally bumped people when my DD was small enough to need a stroller. If you've ever pushed one through the parks for any length of time, you'll soon discover that some people can't see strollers so they keep walking right in front of us as I'm trying to manuever through the crownds. It's almost as if the space used by the stroller is seen as a "void" in the crowd that must be filled. I usually try very hard to keep from bumping anyone but at the end of a long day of always having to make way for people who act as if the stroller isn't there, I get grumpy and figure it was there choice to pull into the line right in front of a stroller so a few nipped ankles must be OK.

I have a similar problem when my DD is standing in front of me as we wait, such as for a parade. I try to get us a good spot where we can see without standing in front of people who've already claimed a spot. We stand or sit as close together as possible so we don't use extra space because we want others to be able to watch as well. Unfortunately, on many occasions I've had parents tell their kids to go to the front of crowd and they end up blocking my DD's view. If we're seated, we'll stand up but that's not always a help if the kids are taller than DD. If I put her on my shoulders, that risks blocking the view of people behind us. As much as I understand why people want their kids to get good views, it shouldn't be at the expense of another child.

Dh did this two weeks ago when we were there. We were trying to walk through an area where there are lots of people just standing around doing nothing. Dh was pushing the stroller for a few minutes while I took a break and he said excuse me to some guy at least three times and there was no way around him as the other side was a fence thing, so finally after the third loud "excuse me" dh just rolled right over his foot with the large wheels of our double stroller and we heard the guy say to his wife, "hey that guy just ran over my foot with his stroller!" I about died. I really try to be careful and polite with our stroller but some people just don't allow for that. Dh is just a little bit different in his tactics, though. Had I been driving, I probably would have just stood there staring at him until he moved and then said "excuse me".

I don't think there is ever a valid excuse to intentionally run into someone with a stroller-(or with an ECV for that matter)-yes, you want to get by but is it worth hurting someone to do it? You don't know what the physical condition is of that person and you may actually do them harm.

don't get me wrong--I get annoyed too--even without a stroller or when I am not on an ECV-by people who stand in the middle of a pathway and block it (seems to be particularly bad in the paths from Adventure Land to NOS). Don't get me started on people who do a dead stop in front of you in the middle of the pathway! But it's a necessary inconvenience and you put up with it. I would never intentionally push someone out of the way to get through--the extra thirty seconds I may have to wait while I get their attention is not that big a deal compared to the risk of actually injuring someone (even if it's just a bruise). I certainly have never had someone refuse to move out of the way--maybe they don't see you because they're focused on what ride they're going on next, etc. Once you get their attention I have found people are good about letting you through.

Is your time worth so much that it's worth risking potentially ruining someone else's trip entirely?

It is always disheartening to me when someone freely admits that they purposely have run into people--IMHO not the "Disney" way . . . . .

I totally agree. I actually last summer, was standing in line for IASW ,there was no where to go, no one was moving. This woman behind me first , nudged me in the leg. I didnt say anything. Second time, gave me a flat tire and scraped my ankle with the side of her stroller trying to get closer. This time, as I am showing her my ankle, she said "so what!!!" OMG!! sooooo, the whole time in line (she was blocked in by about a million people) I walked sideways staring at her the whole time to make sure she didnt injure me again.(45 minutes in the hot summer sun) It wound up driving her crazy. lol. STOP STARING AT ME!!!! WAHHHH! I can tell you, that if she hadnt had her kid in the stroller, she might have been wearing my lemonade! So, if you feel adventerous or well with in your right to mow down people in a crowd with your stroller, you deserve what you get.
You are probably a GREAT driver too, texting on the fwy???lol. There are some things you should keep to yourself, its called an "inside voice".oh, by the way, I have a nice scar on my ankle from where that "woman" scraped my ankle. Yep still bitter. I am much more audible with my voice at DL when it comes to wreckless mommies and the baby carriages. is it really urgent that you get to Snow White faster??

And yeah...it is Disneyland. It's a wonderful place. I've been hit by strollers before. Such is life. Did I let it ruin my trip? Nope. Did I dwell on it? Nope.

"Stuff" happens. (We can't swear here...but you get the idea.)

Oh...and a couple more things...
I didn't say that I've actually run over anyone with a stroller or anything. I don't even have kids (yet.)
I didn't say that the people who deserve it are "people in my way." You make it sound like I think people in my way should be run over. Those aren't the deserving people I was talking about.

And why would anyone have to leave the park early if I step on their heel? I accidently step on the back of my husbands flip flops all the time and he's never had to leave early....haha.

This thread is here to vent about people and their douchebaggery be they stroller attackers, People with bad breath that take photos in the Haunted mansion, and those who crowd you in line.

The fact of the matter is that people do these things without regard for other people. This is where you can go to make fun of them so please do so. We're not here to complain. We're here to crack jokes. I suggest starting a thread of your own if you want to be mad and gripe about the jerks who run into you at the park.
