Don't Really Know Where Else To Turn

I think it's normal to feel like this sometimes. I only work 4 hours per day but seems when I get out of work I'm running kids to a million different appointments- doing the shopping- doing housework and on and on and on. It can get overwhelming- try doing something for you. How about a pedicure? They give you a nice little foot massage!

When I get frustrated, I imagine myself all alone in a nursing home, sitting in my urine soaked adult diaper. :teeth: I know that nothing is forever. Hey, works for me! :thumbsup2

It's tough to be a mom!

I work 8:30 - 5:30 M-F. DH's schedule rotates, but on work days he leaves the house about 3 AM and finishes in time to pick up DS at school at 3 PM. If DH is working I get DS up and ready for school, then I come into work as soon as he is dropped off. If DH is off he will take DS to school so I can have an extra 30 minutes in the morning.

DS is struggling with homework this year. He has an ADD evaluation tomorrow. His homework takes 3.5-5 HOURS for him to finish. By the time I get home from work DH is completely frustrated, DS is angry and close to tears, half the time dinner isn't even started because DH doesn't think to go to the grocery BEFORE DS starts his homework. We end up eating take out WAY too often.

We eat dinner, DS has a shower, then he goes to bed at 8:30. DH has to be in bed no later than 8 PM or he is exhausted when the alarm goes of at 2 AM. It's crazy. As soon as I come in the door I try to look at the mail, DS is telling me to sign his papers and look at his homework, DH is griping about whatever his gripe of the day might be. There are really only 2 hours that we are all home and awake on weekdays and it feels like those 2 hours are in fast forward.

Hang in there! Life gets overwhelming sometimes. I find cutting back on the housework helps. I do laundry constantly, but stuff like scrubbing toilets and dusting knick knacks can wait. So the house isn't spotless - at least I'm not ready to become an axe murderer! ;)

Hugs!!!!

Yep, things can be terribly hard.
I think that many more people feel this way than we easily admit.
I think that sometimes, we set ourselves up in life to where we expect more than we are physically and emotionally able to give.

Don't be afraid to say that you are overwhelmed!

Don't be afraid to make changes!

:goodvibes

Just know you are not out there alone.

Maybe you could tell your DH how you feel. Just print the OP.
