Don't power hungry people....

here's my thought for the day:

get over it already!!! :teeth:

and btw cathy, it is nice to see you back. i missed you. :)

LOL Caity! Wow, that is certainly straightforward and to the point! :p

Maybe I'll just change up my words for the day, mine are starting to give me a headache. :p Yours might be easier for a Monday. :)

Thanks, caity. :)

I agree with Judi that we do have to work together, but before we can do that, we do have get over it and try to fix it. We're trying believe me.

Hey CC! I was thinking of you this weekend and planned to PM you to see how you were. Was WDW great?

Well behind your back or to your face, people like that just get crossed off my list, Mom always said "If you don't have something nice to say about someone keep your cake hole shut."

yes~ I believe that some people could be deemed as being "power hungry"...... and I believe that their need for power is not the problem... i
t is HOW they gain and utilize their power that may be derisive to others... and there in lies the problem.

To answer Tony's original question, yes, they do drive me up a wall sometimes. There was something that happened where I work too and it made for a few bad moments for the people involved and the customers that had to see it.

Goodness, I am so far out of the loop, I don't even know what all these little innuendos are referring to!!!!!!! That's probably a good thing!;)

To anwer the OP's question...I don't think they make me mad, I think that power hungry people are actually sad, as they aren't happy with themselves and think that by getting more power, they wil be happier, and really, they just become more sad and pathetic.

(Disclaimer: This is in NO way a reference to anything or anyone here on the DIS. It os my opinion about power hungry people in general).

I personally tried to apologize for some things I did wrong and I also tried to state my opinions from the heart and how I truly felt. I didn't even get a reply. So I can say that at least I tried. I think everyone makes mistakes and if they are man or women enough to apologize for the mistakes, the least the other person could do is at least acknowledge the apology.

Like others I don't agree with some of the "power" here lately. For example a thread was closed the other day by a person with less than 50 posts. The person closing the thread was not nice about it, just blunt, rude and to the point. How does that look to a new person here? I'm not saying the thread shouldn't have been closed BUT there are is a NICE way to do things. Don't run new people off! If I had been that person I would definatly not feel welcome here.

Cathy I'm glad things are being worked on behind the scenes. I sincerely hope that things will get better. I miss the old days and the people who have left! I think if a few people would just stop and take a step back and sincerely look at what others are saying instead of saying "Oh he/she is just trying to cause trouble" when the majority aren't trying to cause trouble, I know I'm not, I just miss everyone that seems to be leaving because of all of this.

Oh great now we have to include disclaimers and warnings with all posts. Anybody know a good DIS attorney?

LOL!!! Indyman

The reason for my disclaimer.. was a CYA tactic.....

it seems as of late that posts are misconstrued.. and I did not want anyone to do that with my relatively simple answer...

so ya... it is a CYA tactic

I'm not sure that pointing fingers or posts here, is necessary. It serves no purpose other than to stir the pot and I would appreciate it if we could stop that now. If anyone wishes to discuss board policies, please feel free to send an e-mail to Pete and the webmasters at admin@wdwinfo.com.

mamajoan, I don't blame you for the disclaimer in the least. I sometimes think that everything I say is dissected and misunderstood. A thread I recently started was posted in all sincerity, but certain people felt that I had a hidden agenda which was absolutely ridiculous. I agree that my timing may have been unfortunate, but my sincerity was true. Anyone who really knows me, would know that to be true. How sad that things/emotions reach a point where you would even have to consider that though.

having an opinion. So I refuse to have one. At least in my opinion I do. I think. Maybe I will get to have an opinion ...someday. Let me go ask my wife and daughter. Maybe I'll ask for an opinion for my birthday.

I would like my DIS mug... someday. Maybe it would come with an opinion I could share with the CB!

Everyone's feelings seem to be on the downside lately, mine included. I think we need a fluff day.

I am not really sure what's been happening lately....i was off the boards for a long time...but...my absence was my choice....not anything anybody said or did...

I had an extremely busy but satisfying 2002 and early 2003....I participated in a Corvette related event last june with my then 8 year old granddaughter....the afterglow still lasts..you can see what i am talking abut at www.historicmotorama.com ....i am the 1974

Early this year we moved our youngest to Florida where he is now a full time cast member @ WDW...

Now, I'm back...i think i figured out what the Tag Fairies do....but I am only guessing what a fluff day is...I am guessing it is a care-fee fun day....

to that point....here is an early contribution to fluff day....titled: " how i kicked some tail"

I gave my year and a half old Granddaugher a gum drop....unbeknownst to me..she spit it out....walking barefoot into the kitchen..i stepped on it....i jumped so high i kicked myself in my tail.

OOPS! I just saw the word 'Hungry' and opened this thread by mistake!! :o

(nice car Brer_Papa :) )

( thank you Keisie )

Steve H...Yes...it's Presque Isle....one of my favorite places in the world...The kids, grandkids and me & DW spend as much time as possible there..year round...

Like WDW....a Laughing Place....
