:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:cool1:

Thank you!!! We were booked for a week later in Aug but due to work obligations had to switch to a quick weekend trip BUT I am just soooo happy to be getting to go back at all and a trip with my BFF (my mom) just puts me over the moon :cloud9:

So where are the pictures of the new refrigerator? Exterior? Interior? Interior with a familiar object inside so that we can judge size? Freezer compartment?

(You didn't think you could just mention it and then go enjoy your vacation, did you?)

You are seriously overestimating my dis board skills. I'm not even sure if I am responding to this "quote" correctly....
I do have a couple of pictures I just took and will be happy to email them to someone to post for me. I have no idea how to post a picture on here myself and am not likely to figure it out soon. :)

:goodvibes

You responded just fine!!!

I would seriously like the photos if you don't mind. There's no rush, so feel free to wait until you return from your trip.

You can email them to beachclubdee at yahoo dot com

Thanks!

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I was on this thread quite a few pages back, but it moves fast!

How late is Beaches and Cream open? Like if we wanted a burger later in the evening? And is it easier to get a seat if you are willing to sit at the counter?

Staying at Beach Club 10/1 - 10/10 October 2014 - long way away, I know, but I can have fun planning until then! :thumbsup2

Hi, when we stayed at BC in a GV CL room in May it was a handicapped room. We were fine with it but I'm just curious how is it different then a regular room would have been? It was our 1st time staying at BC. Thanks!

Not sure about how late it is open but yes, it's easier to get a seat if you sit at the counter. I would think it would be open until at least 9 PM.

Not sure. There are various types of handicapped rooms. We have some for hearing impaired, some with the lower beds and roll in showers.

So I just booked a mini portrait session at Beach Club for Halloween morning (just happened to be the only day they had a time that worked for us)! Anyone have any experience with this? I was planning for mostly bday pics of the twins with a few family pics. Sooo excited :)

We booked two mini photo sessions for my oldest DD's senior pictures at the BC two years ago. We decided to go with two sessions b/c the mini sessions came with a cd that had all the pics on it whereas the regular session didn't and we saved $50 by going that route. Plus she wanted to change outfits so I booked the two sessions 1/2 hour apart to give her time to change. It ended up working out great and the pics came out BEAUTIFUL! Our photographer was awesome and really took her time (we ended up going over the minutes and no extra charge). She had pics taken by the gardens at the back entrance, some on the beach and a few on the shipwreck slide with the light house in the background (that's the one she chose for her yearbook and the one I have sitting on my fireplace),

For the photoshoot, has anyone made an appointment upon arrival @ WDW? I am still unsure how we will fit it in the schedule and what time we would like to do it, morning, noon, nite? if it rains I would be disappointed .

Less than 3 weeks out.....the wait is killing me, I kinda feel like I need this vacation this year more than any of our previous vacations...I really need to get away lol.

I booked ours well in advance and was told that if it did rain, we had the option of taking the pics indoors or they would work with us in rescheduling. We've done the photo session twice, once for family photos and then the following year for my daughter as you can see above. Both times, we booked in the fall and both times we booked around the 4:00-4:30 mark and it worked perfectly weather wise. But IMHO, since you are going in August, I'm not sure I would plan for the afternoon mostly b/c of Tstorms and rain that are likely to pass thru. If it were me, i'd aim for either late morning (11ish) or just around 1:00...again just my opinion... Good luck!

17 Days!!!

Itching to start packing, but going in summertime means that we are wearing the clothes we'll wear on vacation...and that means I have to be patient:yoda:

(waits for comments from the peanut gallery...:rolleyes1)

DD13 did great getting her braces on yesterday...think she's regretting being excited about it though :headache:

Only two or three other "big" things on the calendar until vacation! Dr. appt on Wednesday, Dance Camp for DD10 next week and guidance counselor meeting for DD13 to change schedule on the 12th....

I spent a little time making sure our luggage could fit okay in our car

Also debating renting a car for the week vs cabs

I prefer not to drive and use a comb of ME, Disney trans, and cabs. Wife wants the security of having a car on hand

Work and moving (home AND office) have been so crazy that I didn't realize how time was flying by. I'm so excited to be at BC in 7 days :cool1:. It's a short trip, and I'm particularly pleased that my mom is coming with me and my daughters. She spent almost all of our last trip sick in her room. She had a military ticket and only used one day--and that was just for 3 hours. Hoping she will see why we love Disney after this trip!

What are people's favorite breakfast spots? We like a real breakfast on vacation, but am looking for something quicker than a sit down. With the heat, i want to be at rope drop, then be at the pool or inside at mid-day. Is the Marketplace good? Somewhere on Boardwalk? Oatmeal, eggs, etc.

Thanks!

Only 6 days left on your ticker, then the following day I will be joining the fun at SAB:cool1::cool1:
There will be no crickets for us then :goodvibes

BC was open until 11 pm in early July and it was quite busy late. It seems to get a bunch of business that lasts right after Illuminations ends
