It was awful!!! An hour plus wait. Estimated time was 40 minutes but then a tour group came in with fast passes. It was super hot and Ben was having trouble dealing with it. Plus being anxious for his first ride on this.

Unfortunately, this was karma getting me back big time for a move I pulled at Toy Story, but that story won't come out until the last day of my trip report!

The rest of our time at HS this morning was not great, but we had an AWESOME lunch at Captain's Grille and I had another dip in SAB to end the trip.

Ok, nice to know I'm not losing it! LOL. Did Ben enjoy it?

I'm so happy. I'm able to have fast pass plus online friday ! Do you know if I can have more than 3 FP+ when I'm in the park ? or have other FP not FP+.

I'll be checking in the same day (after working there the day before). From what I hear, it's only 3 FP+ per day and once they are done, you are blocked out from other FP too ... again, this is what I hear. And this could all change. Remember, everything is in testing stage only.

Had to make my own coffee this morning! WAAHHHH!!!

For the next several days, I am going to do a Beach Club/Yacht Club coffee quiz. It will be Jeopardy-style. I'll post the "answer" in the morning and you think of the question during the day. The next day, I'll post a new "answer" and give you the previous day's response.

I was going to have you all post your guesses, but this thread moves fast enough as it is, so instead, this will work on the honor system- when you post an inquiry or response to something else here, you can give your guess or tell me if you got it right.

For example, the response could be "How long does it take to get from the Beach Club lobby to the International Gateway bag check?" That's not the question I am looking for this time though.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts. It was a difficult decision to make but one of those things that the time had come for. It was very peaceful. The magical thing was that when we went in there were no showers in the area (I checked on radar before we left) but right as he passed you could hear the rain pouring outside...I told DD13 that it needed to rain to make a rainbow to the bridge and I believe that with everything I am. We buried him in our little orchard so he could watch the catbirds and others as they hang in the trees. DD13 placed her "blankie" in with him I did not expect that at all.

And that is what has me wanting to "opt out" now. If we don't get to use the legacy FP in a park we hop to. That will make being in the test a detriment rather than a benefit. Even if I get "special" Wishes viewing. It wouldn't be as great to have park hopper passes, and that is what we purchased.

Time will tell and we shall see what happens...Hope if I don't like it then we are able to to "opt out" during the trip though.

I'm laying in bed for the last time here at BC listening to my family snore. The sadness of leaving BC has my heart feeling extremely heavy.

Yesterday was great! We went to AK and rode EE single rider line. I have never seen AK so crowded! Throngs of people were entering the park at Noon as we were walking out! On our way out, we stopped for some frozen cokes and jalapeño pretzels. Yum!

After AK we drive to DTD. Our son has wanted to make a car at Ridemakerz for the past three years and finally was able to do it! Once again, DTD was packed! At Noon! I did a little bit more shopping while he made his car. Saw the cutest LeSportsac bag with the Dutch kids from IASW but the $169 price tag was too rich for my blood!

Did you know that it's a .54 mile walk from WoD to the movie theaters there? Me neither. Now we know!

Came back to BC for lunch and a nap. To our surprise, our room hadn't been made up yet. This whole week it was done by Noon. Mousekeeping didn't come until 4. We had turndown service every day, including yesterday. The mints on our pillow are delicious!

We had dinner at 'Ohana and I ordered a Lapu Lapu, which I think translates in Hawaiian to "100%Booze"! I had no clue something so pretty and fun would be so STRONG! As the ice melted, it was easier to drink. Our meal was delicious. The shrimp, chicken, pot stickers and bread pudding were my favorites!

Our oldest daughter wanted to see River Country so we took the monorail to MK, poked our heads in to MK and took some pics, then headed for the boat to Ft Wilderness. We didn't get that close to it but got some great shots of the abandoned waterpark.

Took the monorail to Epcot, rode SE then sprinted in the rain in flip flops to TT. We were the last ones they let in the door! Woo hoo! The rain had started (again) so they held us our cars inside stopped on the track for a few before heading outside. Thank goodness my hair already looked horrific because when we went on the outside track, I didn't care that I was in an open car, in the rain, going 66mph! Our picture was hysterical!

My impromptu goal of hitting all 4 parks plus DTD in one day came to a screeching halt when we exited TT at 9:35. There was no way we would make it to DHS and into line at TSM by 10. So we drowned our sorrows in a Kitchen Sink! It's a Catho family tradition to have one and what better time to do it than at the eleventh hour of our trip! Packing can wait!

Now it is time to get up, eat breakfast and get packed. We decided to make the 18 hour drive over two days and not a straight shot. We are too old to go without sleep!

Before we leave, we are going to say hello to Teena and have lunch. Maybe at Captains Grill to use up our two remaining TS credits or maybe at HH to use some of our 13 remaining QS credits.

Off to shower!

Lol. We have definitely done some nice hopping across the sand. We love Wrightsville but normally go to a beach called Emerald Isle which is north of it.

Ill be in Emerald Isle all next week!

You can go in after and change your times from the ones it initially gives you and many more will come up. Most will give you every hour listed. You may need to play around with one to open the time slot, it won't give you a time slot you already have a FP scheduled for.

Thanks for the advice- looks like that will work. I thought I'd read somewhere that you could customize more...but it doesn't really give you that option unless you just start clicking around...

I am planning FP+ for a group of 4 and have done it in groups of 2 for those not wanting to do a certain attraction. The process to move times around is not the most user friendly but it is possible.

I've read on other threads that FP- will still be available during the test and this makes some sense as I think the test is of the system, not a test of how guests will like it. Could be wrong. It's in the TOS that it's either FP+ or FP- but not both at the same time so eventually that will be reality.

We had dinner there Thursday night as you know. We also went yesterday for our final lunch. So good!!!

The made to order clam chowder appetizer, with whole clams (in the shell) was PHENOMENAL!!! (ETA- You can't get apps on the dining plan. Duh!)

For the QS credits, maybe get some grab and go stuff- salads or sushi or sandwiches from the Marketplace for the road, especially if you have a cooler.

I'm glad it went well yesterday afternoon.

I called the special number on the info sheet that was mailed to us, and the person I spoke to said he thinks we should be able to get regular FPs as well. People were able to during all of the other testing periods. He did say if we weren't able to get one at first, keep trying as we might not be allowed to have 3 FP+s and regular ones at the same time. I think you're right about opting out after a few days if it becomes a big drawback -- I hadn't thought of doing that!

Just back from 9 days at Disney and we had the best time ever. I posted this on another thread but wanted to post in the Yacht/Beach Club resort. Whenever we go back we are definitely staying at the Yacht Club!!! This resort has so much to offer, we had a Lagoon View very nice although our room #3003 was pretty much the farthest room from the lobby/pool I still enjoyed it alot. We could see the fireworks from Illuminations The Boardwalk was nice to stroll on and we did happen upon a couple of shows going on right on the boardwalk From the time we were greeted at the front door, our check in people were awesome, Mike in the pool area showed us around the pool and tried to find chairs for us very nice, and Chad at front desk answered all our questions. Ronno very nice lady got us a free taxi ride to our Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom!!! Our maid did towel animals everyday for us Being able to walk to Epcot which most of our dinner reservations were at was super convenient! We hit parks early came back to enjoy Storm Along Bay what a nice pool, love the sandy bottom and that the pool never seemed crowded because its HUGE! I just wanted to say we really enjoyed this resort and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again which we will sometime

Officially in the single digits!!! Suitcases are down from the attic. I just need this week to be over! I'm starting to annoy DH with my constant checking of the Lines app and comparing it to our schedule. Soooooo excited.
