So, the good news is that there is 15 days until we arrive.
The bad news is, like the absolute idiot that I am, I broke my toe yesterday.
Not the big toe and not the pinkie toe, the third toe, the lowly, undramatic third toe, which, regardless of it's relative unimportance, is required for me to walk normally. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I'm a little bummed.
Does anyone have any uplifting, "I broke my toe and danced in the Nutcracker three days later" stories? I have a feeling that you will be able to find me easily on this particular vacation as the fat, old broad swilling Sunken Treasures at SAB all day while her handsome husband, and three remarkably intelligent and beautiful teenage girls tour the "worlds" without her.
Oh pity me fellow dis-ers as I am unconsolable...

I actually can say I broke my toe and danced the nutcracker 1 day later! Ex ballerina here from NYC. I have had broken toes and lost toe nails. With some tape and moleskin you'll be great!! Have a great trip

I grew up about 15 minutes from there and am headed there today to visit my Mom. My sister lives in Swansboro. Small world!!

That is too funny! Have you been before? I love that beach. Our favorite restaurant there is Chowdaheads. It is a hole in the wall with about 5 tables but fabulous! I highly recommend the fish tacos and fried shrimp. Yum! If you want PM me (if you aren't familiar with the area) and I will give you other tips/info.

We love Chowdaheads! DMiL lives in New Bern and has a house in Emerald Isle so we are there pretty frequently Its our beach trip before our Beach Club trip lol

Crazy question but after the Pgh, PA tour I got a 20% code for her concert store that I let expire by accident! if anyone has been to the concert this week and got a code in their email for a tour store discount can you let me know? thanks!@

I went in Philly on Friday! How did you get the code? We bought shirts ahead of time from the online store but I haven't seen a discount for anything? My friend ordered our tix so I will ask her and if I get something I will pm you
Great show huh??? Glad we went Friday and not Saturday since last night got delayed 2 hours and had to evacuate due to storms!!!

My son's college roommate has a small trailer in the travel park at Cedar Point. He visits a lot and puts his boat in there. During the fall you can find them watching ECU Pirate football games on the big screen outside!!

I love that area of NC. I still consider it home. My mother still lives on our family farm outside of Maysville. I get back about once a month.

Heading "home" to the Beach Club on Friday for a quick visit. I can't wait!! Looks like there have been lots of recent visitors but I'm happy to research stuff if there are any questions and will share some pictures when I get back.

Walked to Contemporary and took a cab back after Wishes- $21 plus tip. Seemed high to me but worth every penny.

We just said goodbye to Teena and are now in the car on the road. I want to burst into tears but don't want to get made fun of by my family. We had a lovely morning at SAB and a great chat with our favorite greeter! Lunch from HH and used up all but two TS and two CS meals by stocking up with fruit, pastries and drinks for the ride home.

Thank you BC for helping our family make magical memories!

I'm finally weeding through my pictures from the trip. Here are a few I would like to share with you.

On Tuesday, my first night in Disney and her last, I met Nannette for a Grey Goose Slushie and Illuminations. We had a fantastic time chatting!!!




I ran into Cathy- Catho72, and her family several times at the resort.

She recognized me at the pool on Wednesday, we passed a couple of times in the lobby, she popped by to say hello during dinner on Thursday and we said final goodbyes as I was in the lobby waiting to leave and her family was off to 'Ohana








I know there were several of you who were at the resort at the same time and I am so sorry we didn't get a chance to meet. I didn't spend nearly enough time at the resort- my family visits the theme parks for most of the day so unless you were roaming around before 6 am or saw someone with a camera hanging around SAB taking pictures and timing lazy rivers, it would be tough to spot me!


Of course, my family had dinner with Teena at Captain's Grille Thursday night. It was awesome!!! I can't describe how wonderful it was catching up and listening to Teena's hilarious stories!

So if you are keeping track- I met with 3 different DISers. 4 actually. I encountered Buzzy in a very unexpected place on our return home. He accompanied us on the plane from Orlando! I don't have photographic evidence, but it honestly did happen! Truth!

It was a wonderful show. We took DD and friends to Taylor and One direction 48 hours later so it was a back to back concert bonanza at our house! Our Taylor show was in our football stadium and it was HOT. I didn't enjoy it too much to be honest. I felt the venue too huge but of course she is delightful, etc. Well I was just so tired after the show and place so packed we left without DD's tshirt. I get home to an email from Ticketmaster thanking me for attending the show and giving me a coupon for 20% off the whole store for 48 hours. Well of course DD was looking at tshirts and declares she would LOVE a baby taylor 300 guitar AFTER the coupon expired. GRRR......I have read on the internet she does the 20% after each show....so here was to hoping Philly had the coupon. So glad you were not rained out. That was a fear of mine as what the heck would a stadium full of people due if they had to evacuate? Where would they go?????

We were at the Linc. A huge football stadium with 50,000 people there!! They apparently evacuated onto the concourse!!! It was 95 degrees at 9:00 Friday nite there!! So hot!! I will look for an email!
