I'm home FINALLY. Got home at 2 AM. Long long day ... never again will I change planes in Denver! Not a good end to a wonderful vacation. Only got 4 hours sleep so I'll have to catch up here later today.

I have a smile on my face thinking of Dee checking in today!

Getting caught up, what happened in Denver? We use Denver a lot, ESP in summer to avoid possible storms with transferring in Houston. In winter we do the reverse, and avoid Denver!! But we love Denver airport. Sorry you had a bad experience.

I will say...it is pretty cool, as much as I hate change, I do like to sleep and am not a fan of "having" to get up early on vacation-so I "booked" our slots later in the day. I only did half our trip so far...gonna wait for the other half a bit later, like when DH gets home from work and also see if our ILs are among the "chosen" as well. We are with them at SSR the "back end" of our trip.

Ordered our magic bands too...yellow for me, blue for 2 of the girls, green for the other and red for DH.

It does leave me wondering when the "official" rollout actually will be....

Oh and by the way 29 days....

Nothing for me but we have APs so maybe that's why . And they aren't the new RFID ones so they can't be linked to my acct either.

There is another test of MagicBands and FP+ beginning Aug 2nd - 25th, only at POP, CR, AKL and YC.

If you are doing a split stay at one of these resorts during the time frame, then the FP+ option would be available for those days. So, YC gets to test, BC doesn't. I don't know whether to feel relieved or sad that we are staying BC.

Quick update. We are having a blast spending most of our day at the park. Only coming back to room for short breaks to change out of wet ride clothes. All set to check into the beach club mid day tomorrow after a few final hours at the dark side.

Only met up with buzzy once so far during our trip at three broomsticks for lunch.

Heard from teena. Her flight to Denver was delayed so she missed her connection. She did finally take off and will probably arrive home around midnight.

Teena just heard it was due to flight delay, but don't give up on Denver, that can happen at any airport.

Hello, All - just two more weeks and change until we are checking in!

To those who have the Fastpass+ option, I haven't linked my tickets to the RO reservation because I wasn't sure I wanted the Fastpass+ if it became available. Now that it looks like it may be available, I need to rethink this...
DS does like to sleep in on vacation. Here's what I understand:

If I link the tickets, we may or may not be chosen to use FP+. I will know if that option becomes available on MDE.
If we are able to use it, we have the option not to, and will still be able to use regular FP.
I we choose to use FP+, we will not be able to use regular FP.
Am I right about this?

And regarding Magic Bands, I understand these are not necessarily linked to FP+, but if we have tickets purchased through UT, can we swap out for the bands after we check in? Will we have a choice? And if we do get the bands, then how will regular FP work?

Thanks, I have tried to read through some of the threads on this but they all have a million posts and lots of speculation.

I don't know anything about swapping out bands, but I do know if you use FP+ you can't use the regular FPs. I found that on Disney's very own website, so I feel confident in that information. I'm disappointed, but I hope it'll be worth it to not have to run pell mell across the park with everyone's tickets to get Soarin' or TSMM FPs. I do think it'll mean fewer rides on some of our big favorites.

So this means I don't have to worry about FP+ either way, kind of relieved to not have to make that choice!

Correction, I just went on MDE and suddenly the Magic Band and FP+ option magically appeared. And it says this is my last day to customize my band? What? This wasn't on my MDE last night

I wonder how this will work for me, because my stay is till 9/1. And I hear the test is only running to 8/25? I haven't looked yet at the FP+ yet. Because I have to coordinate with my friend who is coming down too.

I was curious about the FF+ so I checked out DME.

We have the option for them magic bands. I know it's silly but I'm really excited! We ordered our bands, my mom did hers and my sister is working on hers. My niece & nephew were visiting with my kids this morning and picked there colors. They were both super excited (disney first timers 13 &9)they don't have a clue yet lol

We are traveling aug 23-30, it stated we have 7 more days to customize our bands b4 they pick gray for us.

Does anyone know of a way to tie UT tickets to MDE? I see where you're supposed to enter a 12 digit code from the back of the ticket but UT tickets have a much longer code. Any one have any experience with this?

Glad you made it home and had a good time. We have flown too many times through Denver and it has always been a nightmare. Suzy is flying though there for our December trip from Anchorage. It was the lesser of 2 bad choices, the other being Chicago!!!

We will be at the YC Aug 19-26 and I just checked and sure enough there it was on MDE -- we were able to pick our FP+ and customize our magicbands!!

We were in on the last test run of this on our December trip. This time it is much different. In Dec we could only pick 3 attractions for one day at MK and 2 attractions for one day at DHS. This time we can pick 3 attractions for any of the 4 parks everyday of our trip! In December we got a seperate FP+ card of course, because the magicbands weren't out yet. We were then also able to get regular FP's with our KTTW card. Then at times we were holding 2 sets of FP's, one FP+ and one regular FP. Does anyone know how this works with the FP+ being on the magicband now? Are we restricted from getting regular FP's if we have a FP+ at that time??

Our resort reservation, passes and dining are all listed on MDE but we don't have the option of FP+ or MagicBands. The links are there but when I click on them it doesn't allow me to make them.

Guess I'm not one of the lucky ones. Congrats to all who can do it. Sounds pretty cool!!

We are staying AKL first and we did not hear anything. I tried to sign up online, but couldn't access it.

I know from previous threads you can't use paper fast passes and magic band ones but if you don't use Fastpass+ can you use paper ones instead?

Well that really stinks that we won't be able to use regular FP's... I wonder if it's just for the times that we have a FP+, or if we can't get regular FP's at all?

We did not receive an official email inviting us to do the magicband, but when I logged into my account in the WDW site today a box popped up telling me I could do it...

I'm sure you'd get a different answer from every CM you talk to!

It is confusing.

I did NOT check in online, but I was able to choose my FP+ attractions and customize our magicabands (which was just picking a color for each of us).

Quick question, by looking at various pics, am I correct in saying that the majority of CL rooms at the BC have a full balcony? It seems the case.

We're going to enjoy our first club level trip ever, staying at BC 8/8-8/13 celebrating our 18th anniversary. This and the club level thread help a ton in knowing what to expect and what not to miss out on. We may be Disney vets, but some of this stuff, like club level, will be super new to us.

It's been reported that the test is over on 8/25, so I'm guessing you have to be checking in no later than that date.
