DH went to Bell Services while I stayed in room...just in case he crossed paths with it on the way.

He came back 20 minutes later with my bag...it arrived from MCO as he was standing there at Bell Services! They rolled a cart in, he said, "Hey, that's my bag on there!". They pulled it out, scanned it as delivered and let him take it!

On the Magicla Express! Second flight delay was shortened when plane repair was done quickly (no new part required).

We received two free, round trip tickets each and a meal voucher for the inconvience. Thank you, AirTran, for trying to make it up to us!

Hi Couchy! I hope that you didn't take what I said wrong, I never meant to apply you were rich, just that I'm poor (lol ), but when I read it back I thought oh no I hope I didn't offend in error! I'm just jealous of you is all ! I'm working to be like you though & have all expenses like credit cards paid off in next 2 months (I've been working a lot extra) & then start saving for DVC!!

Quick update. We are having a blast spending most of our day at the park. Only coming back to room for short breaks to change out of wet ride clothes. All set to check into the beach club mid day tomorrow after a few final hours at the dark side.

Only met up with buzzy once so far during our trip at three broomsticks for lunch.

Heard from teena. Her flight to Denver was delayed so she missed her connection. She did finally take off and will probably arrive home around midnight.

Mademluc. So sorry to hear about your toe! My dh has broken four and recovered nicely each time although needs wide sized shoes now.

Ack! My 9:25 AM flight has been delayed unti 2:00 PM!

AirTran did not send text notifying us of change so we got to airport for on-time flight.

Not a good way to start vacation..

Ooooooo....DH just had a great idea. We can use the free tix for a more expensive flight to California and go to Disneyland!!!

I hate how our pesky jobs get in the way of our Disney obsessions. I try to focus on the fact that the Jon pays for the Disney trips, but it's small comfort. I need to find a way to get paid for planning and going to Disney!!!

I am not sure if any of you follow any of the FD or RO threads. In case you don't, today an annoucement came out with FD dates for the late fall promotion. Hopefully the RO dates will be similiar. It looks like if you are a DV holder, you can call for the FD DSCT on July 29th and a GP offer will be available on Aug 1st.

We are staying at BC CL in Oct and I am wondering if anyone has ever been able to take advantage of (or modify) a reservation to include the FD or a RO dcsts? Didn't know if CL rooms were included? I also know they allot only a certain amount of rooms for dscts too.

I am thinking the RO would be a much better way to go since we also have the CL for snacks/drinks etc.

Would love thoughts and opinions! Thanks!

We modified our Feb 2013 reservation to take advantage of a room only discount when it was offered in Oct of 2012. I called up and they applied the discount without any problems. There was also a stay, play and dine discount that was offered at the same time, and if we wanted to take advantage of it we would have had to change our room onyl reservation into a package, requiring rebooking. But since we were staying at a deluxe resort, and there were only two of us, the room only discount saved us more money.

I don't know whether CL rooms were included or not.

So, the good news is that there is 15 days until we arrive.
The bad news is, like the absolute idiot that I am, I broke my toe yesterday.
Not the big toe and not the pinkie toe, the third toe, the lowly, undramatic third toe, which, regardless of it's relative unimportance, is required for me to walk normally. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I'm a little bummed.
Does anyone have any uplifting, "I broke my toe and danced in the Nutcracker three days later" stories? I have a feeling that you will be able to find me easily on this particular vacation as the fat, old broad swilling Sunken Treasures at SAB all day while her handsome husband, and three remarkably intelligent and beautiful teenage girls tour the "worlds" without her.

I'm so sorry! That is a terrible inconvenience, and it won't be easy but I know you will rise above it.

I didn't break a toe, but I did break my face in my last two kiddie park adventures. At the first, Happy Hollow, I was trying to rescue DD 2.5 who was climbing on a wooden structure, I broke her fall but smashed my nose into a 2x4 on the way down. My nose was bleeding inside and out, both eyes were rapidly turning black and I had a split lip that swelled up to the size of a golf ball. The best part is that we were on a 1st play date and it had just started so I had to tough out the rest of the day with stares from everyone.

Two months later, walking into Gilroy Gardens, I fell on my face. I am really pale so I got instant bruise on my right cheek, put a hole in my chin, and bit through my lip so it swelled up like a golf ball (again) and since we were with other people and I promised DD a choo choo ride I had to suck it up and walk around that way again.

The thing is I was in pain but did have fun both days and DD had a great time! I say get a scooter and tour the parks in style and get that handsome husband and three remarkably intelligent and beautiful teenage girls to wait on you hand and foot!

Greetings from OKW! The transition was smooth. I had my luggage down at bell services at BC at 7:30am asked that it be taken over to OKW... they said they transfer luggage between 1-4... fine by me as long as I don't have to do it!! I then got on the bus and headed to MK for the Marceline to Magic Tour... this was an amazing tour! I've taken it before and since I feel like it goes with the Keys to the Kingdom Tour I wanted to take it again since I had just taken the Keys tour. This tour was so different than the last time I took it... we were taken through the Haunted Mansion with our tour guide who talked to us and explained how things worked and why. Then we we're brought backstage under the ballroom scene and got to see how that works!! So cool!! I really enjoy taking the tours and learning all about how and why things are done the way they are. Tomorrow/today I'm going on the Steam Engine Tour!! Can't wait to learn all about those trains!!

Hoping to meet up with Dee tomorrow night since it's my last night here... until September!!! I love having more trips already planned because it makes leaving not so bad!!!

Yeah I am really leaning towards RO. Some folks on the other thread seem to think the dates for RO might be more widespread than the FD. When are you going? Is that the pop Warner time frame?

We are going 11/30 - 12/11, pop Warner is 12/7 so there is definitely overlap. Earlier pins did offer FD 11/30 - 12/4 but nothing so far on RO discounts.

So sorry for your loss franc. Sending you. You sound like a great daughter to take care of all her final wishes with her estate.

I lost my 58yr old dad in a tragic car accident last year, and it is truly hard, my world is different now. I'm glad to hear you will have some great family time at Disney as it truly has magical powers for healing!

Thank you, so sorry for your loss as well. That must have been a terrible shock for you and your family.

I think this holiday will be our chance to start again, Disney certainly has magical powers.
