Don't need to have 1 snack, 1 cs and 1 ts per day??

If on the dining plan, is it ok for us to use different credits per day, as long as we end up using the allotted credits at the end of the trip? For instance, could I do one day with a snack and Cinderella's castle, and the next day two counter service meals and a snack? Or, do you have to literally use 1 snack, 1 counter service and 1 table service per day?

We want to go to WDW in 2012 and can be flexible on the days, so we're waiting to see if they offer free dining. :goodvibes If they do, then I want to see how it would work for our family....

Your credits are given to you based on the number of nights in your package and are yours to use however you'd like. Whether you choose to use them all in one day or spread them out is your choice. We like the basic DP and play around with our credits all the time. We especially like to save one of our CS credits to use for lunch before catching the magical express back to the airport on our last day. :)

Absolutely.

Think of the credits as a pool that is allocated to you on day 1. Until the end of your trip you can use the credits any way you wish until they are gone.

We've been known to have lots of snacks left on the last day. We've gone to the gift shop and bought a ton of snacks for the long drive home.

Thank you both so much! :) We're thinking we will do a 7 day stay but have the first and last day at just the resort, so we'd pay for a magic your way pass for 5 days. I thought that we'd still get 1 snack, 1 CS and 1 TS meal for each of the 7 days still, so we would have a little leftover unless we doubled up on a couple of things each day. Plus I've been reading that the meals are so-so in Hollywood Studios, so we wouldn't be doing a table service meal that day. Thanks again!!

Just a Note. Your Dining Credits Equal the Number of Nights, not the Number of Days. As others have said, you can use them anyway you like :)

Just wanted to add that DHS has some very unique TS. Don't write it off just yet. 50's prime time is one of my favorites for lunch (love the fried chicken!) I also love Brown Derby (but this is two credits). Sci-fi is good too, and fun if you have never done it before (love sitting in the cars).

partypa -- thank you! I thought it was days... so your information will help me to better plan!

tigger536 -- thanks, I will look into those restaurants! :goodvibes

Also wondering... are drinks included with TS entrees and CS entrees? Or do we need to purchase those separately? And for the kids' meals -- is it just fries as a side or can you have fruit or vegetables?

I'm just looking through some of the menus and I don't seem to see the answers to these questions.

Thanks!

A non-alcoholic drink is included with each TS and CS meal credit. You can also purchase just drinks (bottled water soda etc.) with a snack credit.

Can you start using your dining plan on the day of arrival, or not until after your first night?

The credits are for the number of nights of stay. They are active when you check in and expire at 11:59 pm on your checkout day.

You can start using them as soon as you check in. For example, you are staying Aug 1st thru Aug 8th (so, 7 night/8days) and check in at 11am. That means you will have 7 snack credits, 7 QS, and 7TS credits for each person. When you check in at 11am your room isn't ready so you decide to use some of the credits and grab lunch or a snack = perfectly acceptable!

You do not have to use an equal amount of credits per day but cannot use more credits than there are people. For example, you cannot get 4 counter service meals when there are only 3 people on your reservation. If you want to forego a table service meal on one day so you have 2 TS credits for Cinderella's castle on the night next, that is perfectly acceptable.

Children have to order from the children's menu if one is available. Typically, my children get grapes as their side and a cookie as their dessert with a juice box as their drink.

Check out the menus at allears.net to see what is on the menus.

Hope this helps.
