Don't Mess With My Toot Toot!! A Wigd and gang TR/PTR Upd: 12/7 pg.60 Going WILD!

I want to see her room, too. I got too busy to be able to make a boat. I'm sure hers looks cool-eee-oh!

Our cafeteria is a scary place. The workers hover over the food and have a fit if a kid gets two extra fries, but they'll let ten kids go by with one item on the tray and never say a word. I go in to see that mine all get a main item and at least one fruit or vegetable. (Our food is not so appealing, either. I bring my own lunch. ::yes::) As soon as I get them through the line, I am out of there! It's not a very inviting environment. I let my kids eat with me once a week until the weather starts getting cooler and the threat of mice coming in the building wherever they smell food is a threat. They love to eat in the room!

I want to see pictures of your room too!! Or have I already missed them over on your TR??? The part of the boat I saw was super cool and it wasn't even done yet LOL!! Can't wait to see the finished product!!!

Ewwww...lunchtime should be fun and enjoyable!!! Boo to that!! I also bring my own lunch! A coworker of mine and I bring in stuff to share and try to eat as healthy as we can!!!!

Wow, what a long wait. I wondered if that wouldn't happen with the change in credits. Baylor looks absolutely bored.

Ok, never heard of the ice cube game. Jeremy would love that one!

Definitely give the game a go!! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Our cafeteria is a really nice place! Sometimes I prefer it to the lounge, although it can be a little loud!
I do bring my lunch though!
As far as my room goes, I need some time and it seems to be a hot commodity lately!
Marc and I got the boat and Nemo put up. I got the netting up and the jellyfish fish. (I will call you Squishy) So I have to get my sharks up, Mr. Ray's reading nook up, Crush, Squirt, and a boogie board as well will be going up.
Then I had an idea for the aquarium. We have a glassed in office. So I'm going to hang the plush aquarium inhabitants in there peering out at the class!
I need to think up some cute captions now!

BUT, I have double work due for my class next week. I can't make it to the last class so I have two projects due, two weekly papers to write, and two current events to turn in....
AND
We get Harper tomorrow for the rest of the week since Matt and Megan are in Colorado hiking!
All that and I want to get the kitchen painted before school starts.:rolleyes1

Your room is going to FANTABULOUS!! WOW WOW WOW!!! Makes me want to go by to elementary school LOL!!!!

LOL that is quite the list...you are going to busy busy busy!!

I'm excited to see all of y'alls rooms! I was a parapro for a little over a year in a kindergarden class and I enjoyed it so much! Decorating the room and bulletin boards was so much fun! I wish it paid more so I could have continued with it!

Hey Brook! There's a good chance we may be stopping by a VB outlet in the next week. Let me know if there is anything I need to look at for you....

I just saw this! Darn! But, that's okay really - I like to peruse the prints in person since I'm not overly familiar with them. :goodvibes Thank you for the offer though!

So I'm sure you are wondering who the ice cube champion ended up being!!!
Well it was ME!! WOOT WOOT I was named the new queen and this one was a very tight race! I won by a total of 5 seconds LOL!!!! But what a sweet victory it was!!!!

Oh that pic of Baylor is too funny! :rotfl2: Poor kid, I bet he felt like he was about to waste away!

And :yay: on winning the ice game!!!!!

That look on Baylor's face is hilarious! I'll bet, though, he was probably just being funny (and hungry)...he seems like a great kid! :thumbsup2

Le Cellier, SAB, and DISfriends...sounds like a perfect day! :cool1: Except for that little laundry part.

My room is nothing like I wanted it to be, but I've just had too much going on that has taken up my time, and I've really not let myself get fully out of summer mode and into school mode yet. I had/have good intentions, but I don't have the money to do anything fabulous, and I don't have the motivation to spend too much time at the building just yet. They're still painting the hallway walls, so it's a mess around there. We had an in-service yesterday, but now we don't officially have to be there until Monday, so I am enjoying the last few days of freedom.

Our cafeteria is far from fun and enjoyable. I feel sorry for parents who come to eat with their kids. They have to listen to rude cafeteria ladies and screaming cafeteria monitors. I often wish we had a special area for them to go eat with their children separately - somewhere peaceful and pleasant.

As for me, lunchtime is when I lock myself in my room and catch up on the DIS to bring my day some happiness. :wizard:

It was a great day!! And the best dinner ever is soon to follow!

I know once Anita is able to get her room done she'll take some pics! I will take some of mine when it is done too but since I do High School I tone down the Disney a "tiny" bit LOL!!!! I am actually heading to my room now and I might be able to go ahead and put my posters and think on what I want to do to my bulletin board! I really should be planning my first day activities and getting papers to print shop but I keep putting it off! I think that will be my goal this weekend LOL!

I found some plush on ebay, fish nets at the party store, and then made the jelly fish. I tried not to overspend this year...:rolleyes1
Now I'm researching making some sea anemones and urchins. Now I just wish I had some time!!!

Since they blocked us off the DIS at school, I have none of that happiness to go off to at lunch or any other break time...:sad2:

I will take some pics and get them posted! I have no idea when I will get it done though. Marc is my biggest helper! Thank goodness for him, but I have to remember he has a classroom to prepare as well...

I'm going to chant until I see some.

Nah, maybe I'm not. I have a few other things to do, but even if I stop the chanting, I still want them.

My two jellyfish are sitting on a cabinet right now. I can't find Drew's fishing line to hang them up.

Not only did they not block the DIS at our school, for which I am incredibly grateful, but I got a very nice surprise today. They did something to the computers over the summer, and at least for today, I was able to see the pictures on our trip report! :woohoo: If it lasts, it will be so nice not see the red X boxes when reading reports at lunchtime.

I was going to take a few pictures of the parts I had finished, but I forgot that I had loaded some pictures and not put the memory card back in. I'll try again Monday. I have done everything that needs to be done there, and I have 'projects' at home that I can do to keep me quite busy until then.

I took a couple of pictures with my phone today. I have so much left to do before I do a show and tell. The boat area needs something, it looks nekkid....

YAY for unblocking pictures!! Our school also doesn't unblock the DIS so I keep up before and after school LOL!!! It is a great way to relax for a few moments and think happy thoughts!

OK, fine, I'll keep him around...
Now back to the game. How long did your reign last?:rolleyes1

I had posted this on MeMom's TR, but I thought I'd post it here, too, and maybe it would help you get some ideas for your nekkid boat, Anita. :goodvibes

For the Nemo/sea themed classrooms: have you ever done fish out of 2-liter bottles? You cut the bottle in half crosswise and just use the top half. Turned on it's side, the spout of the bottle looks like the mouth of the fish. The kids can paint the inside of the bottle (it should be a clear bottle). Then you do like a triangle cut in the back to look like the tail and you staple it together. You can make a bunch and hang them with fishing line from the celing. This one is really basic, as Miren did it when she was 5, and the teacher just drew eyes on it with a marker but I've also seen them where they've glued googly eyes on them and painted them to look like specific fish, such as Nemo, for example. ;)
