Don't give up!!

Don't give up on continuing to try for the resort or discount you want! I, admittedly, pretty much had given up on getting free dining at a moderate for our resort stay, since the number of rooms available for our dates was very small. And to top it off, I need 2 rooms! Well, I called Disney today for another question and the CM ended up looking for availability just in case. I couldn't believe it when he said that 2 rooms at CBR just came available for free dining!!!! He said that for some reason lately several rooms are coming available, so keep checking! This is exactly what we wanted but I didn't think was possible. Don't give up! And call in because they didn't show being available online... I had just checked right before calling. It was a magical pre-Mother's Day gift!

There's some pixie dust out there for Mother's Day! I had a ressie prior to FD for a preferred at CBR for 10/31-11/5 but I wanted to extend it by a day and couldn't get any days before or after being avail so I kinda gave up. But last night I tried a "new" ressie and it showed avail for a standard which to be honest I would've chosen anyway if the additional day was avail, so I was THRILLED to see it on the screen. So I called because I couldn't get it to modify my existing ressie. The CM said it wasn't avail to her either BUT would suggest I book pay the deposit and then transfer my payment from my other ressie. I AM BEYOND ECSTATIC! So I have the days I want, the resort I want, tickets I need, and FREE DINING!! Can't wait for this "surprise" getaway my kids have NO CLUE ABOUT.

I wonder if it's because people are getting fall pins for RO discounts and are switching from FD...? Or they booked disney immediately upon seeing FD and reality set in and they had to cancel...?

There have been some posts about people who had multiple reservations because they weren't sure about their dates. They'll cancel and those rooms will become available.

Same thing happened to me. I have been checking the Disney website every day. Looked again on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to see openings at CBR. It totally made my Mother's Day knowing we were going to get to stay at a moderate instead of Pop Century. I love Pop, but really wanted to try something new this time.

I agree!! I was just able to switch our reservation from ASMusic to Pop, which is what we had wanted the day free dining came out but hadn't been able to get. I'm so thrilled!

I also was able to "upgrade" my ressie today from POP to POR with FD, which is what I originally wanted but couldn't get on the day FD was announced!! I am super happy about it!! I kept checking the website and today I saw availability at CBR and POR with free dining!
