Glow sticks give off a colored glow when twisted or snapped. Kids like to make necklaces and bracelets and anklets out of them to wear at the night parades.

Window clings (of Dis characters of course) for decorating the outside of your resort window, if you choose. Just remember to remove them when checking out, so Mousekeeping does not have to. Could also put them on the room mirror.

Have never seen anyone using inflatable seat cushions, but I imagine some might at sitdown events like Fantasmic.

Don't think surge protectors are necessary in the resort room. Disney has their own power plants under their parks/resorts. Never lost power at all during two hurricanes. But in the power outage that hit Miami and south FL recently, I read that 2 resorts at Disney were without electricity for 20 minutes. My family says if they have to be anywhere during a hurricane, they want to be at WDW

I thought the surge protectors were also to have extra outlets for camera battery charger, phone chargers, etc...?

This is a great thread! Seeing that i work full time and take night classes, I have had no time to make a list of things I need to get out (warm weather clothes:goodvibes ) and/or purchase! So thank you to everyone who has contributed! Oh and if anybody knows where I can find those M&M containers nowadays I'd appreciate it. I remember seeing them years ago everywhere... now I can't seem to find them!:confused3 TIA!

My best advice on this would be to go to Wal-Mart, or your local Wal-Greens, they have a lot of candy selections. If those don't produce then I would say start hitting the gas stations where you know they have a large candy seleciton. But I'm pretty sure you'll find what your looking for at Wally World. ;)

This is helping me out so much this is our first trip ever I am not so nervous now thanks to the pro's!!!:thanks:

This list has been a godsend thanks for all the great ideas. Just one question what are pressed pennies? :confused3

I wonder if film canisters would work? Ya know, those black, light tight plastic tubes the film used to come in....in the old days?!?!
I'm going to a local film developing place and I'm going to ask if they will give me some for free....NO CANDY!!!:cheer2:

I love it! I am going to print this list out, i'd started a packing list, but this is way more detailed! Thanks to all of the pro's who've contributed to help us newbies!:cool1:

Hey guys! Great list! I didn't see where anyone listed night light on the list. We always carry one so none of us bump into anything in the middle of the night. I also carry Bounce sheets to put in the drawers to make everything smell fresh. Also creates a pleasant smell for the room as well! :thumbsup2

This list has been a godsend thanks for all the great ideas. Just one question what are pressed pennies? :confused3

They have pressed penny machines in all the parks in a lot of places. Leaving the rides, in gift shops etc. You put in .51 cents & get a pressed penny with a picture pressed into the penny. Great souvinears (sp?). Someone else may be able to explain them better.

This is a great list. We also bring two plastic document folders one for scrapbook finds (maps, stickers, pirate certificate) and one for reciepts to help with future planning.
I believe it is Mead that makes reminder bracelelts for kids ( similar to bracelets for Disney events) that can be used to write cell numbers and room info in case kids are seperated from parents.
