Yes, there are 4 designs available starting today at the U.S. Post Office. I'm on my way to get 200 of them for Christmas cards and such.

I'm even going to frame a partial sheet as a souvenir.

There are postcards available with the same designed stamps on them.

Anyone else doing the same thing? I've used Disney stickers in the pass but I think this is so cool to have first class Disney stamps. Yeah!

Mic, Goof, and Don together on one stamp, the second stamp has Bambi and Thumper, the third stamp has Mufassa and Simba together and the fourth stamp is Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket. The four stamps make up what is called a pane. This pane is referred to as Friendship.

I have found out today that there will be two other panes of Disney stamps coming out. One is called Celebration and the other is Romance.

There are postal, speciality items of Disney that can be bought as well.

By the way Eisner was suppose to be at Disneyland yesterday, June 23 with the Postmaster General John E. Potter to honor the first Disney stamp issue. Did anyone see the event? Is there any news coverage of it? Does anyone have pictures of the event with a link?

I tried to get some today and was told "they come out later in the month." My response "Oh I thought they came out today." Guess my PO didn't get any. I never buy stamps (no need for the most part) but planned to get a book just because they were disney.

You do have to order the rest of the Disney postal speciality items through internet.

You can order the stamps through the U. S. Postal Internet site, too. They come in a sheet (not roll) of 20 (5 across and 4 down).

I have heard from a few others that they are having trouble with getting stamps at their local post office but most people are not having any trouble getting them. Your post office may have an abundance of other stamps in inventory; so, they may not be ordering more til later.
