So, same week (President's week) last year we had major problems at DHS on our last day with FP+ being down, ending up with something like a 1 1/2 hour wait for TSMM, missing our next FP because of it, etc., etc. This year, it was 7DMT and the railroad! It went down for several hours yesterday, our last day there. We got the recovery email saying we could pick something else, or wait to ride it any time up until park close. We had to leave by 4 to make the DME to airport...we planned to ride our last FP at BTMRR 2:20-3:20 right at 2:20 and then wait to see the parade at 3 and leave the park. Well, in our haste to not walk from Fantasyland to Frontierland, we took the Disney RR and you guessed it, it broke down between Main St. Station and Frontierland station for over 20 minutes!! We got to our FP at 3pm, and missed most of the parade by the time we came out of BTMRR. Ugh! Since we had to leave the park by 4, we decided we couldn't wait any longer to see if 7DMT would be back up operating. We decided to use the anytime FP for Space Mtn. and then head out to catch the DME after. Come to find out, SpMtn was NOT one of our choices, probably because when we got the recovery email, it was also down for a bit. We found a CM at the Fantasyland FP Kiosk and she took care of it. We rode SpMtn and that ended our Disney vacation! Of course, I just "had" to check as we boarded the DME and 7DMT was finally back up. I think I would have felt better if it wasn't! Oh, well, we still had a great trip and had ridden it once with FP and once in the freezing cold pouring rain with less than a 20 minute wait.

We were at MK yesterday too and I kept seeing the blank wait time sign. The funny (or not so funny) thing is it started to have trouble the evening before yesterday. That is when we had a FastPass for it. It was down during our FastPass time so I camped out and waited for signs that it would be open because the CM said they would honor any FastPass that could not be used for the rest of the day. It was probably a half hour or so after our FastPass window when the ride was going again. By then the FastPass line was pretty long. But it moved right along and we got our ride, so I'm glad we lucked out with that. Also the day before yesterday was absolutely insane for crowds. At one point 7DMT was at 180 minutes standby with the ride operating.

And the past few days were the coldest Presidents Week park days I've ever experienced.

Yesterday was the only day we were at MK during the day. We went after 9 pm most nights. It was pretty crowded (one of the reasons we opted to take the train to Frontierland and not walk through the crowds). We deliberately planned NOT to be there mid-day/day as we thought it could be pretty crowded. The other parks were busy during the day, but utilizing single rider allowed us multiple rides on our favorites with mostly less than half hour waits. Then we used FP later in the day/evening depending where we were.

Were you in MK Tuesday night? It was cold and raining, but awesome with no waits!!

Sorry! Weird coincidence, but I was at lunch yesterday with a coworker who was asking me about my trip next weekend. He hadn't been to Disney since FP+ and was wondering aloud if anyone had created apps for lines and such. I whipped out my "Lines" app on my phone to show him, and I was shocked to see all the mountains down. (I think it was 7DMT and SM at the time I looked.) I wonder what happened.

We mostly used the MDE app and it was pretty accurate. The other two I use (Disneywaittimes and Walt Disney World Wait Times) didn't seem to update frequently enough. I thought I had downloaded Lines on my phone, but hadn't...
