DON'T CRY OR WE'LL RIDE DINOSAUR AGAIN! A Spring Break TR---Final Thoughts 5/5

Ah those yummy apples. Made me one last year and enjoyed it as a snack and as bkfst the next day YUM. Hurray for a 5 min BTMR wait!

:) Thanks, Stephanie! The animation academy was a lot of fun, but you will probably need to wait until Lilian's a little older.

The desserts were HUGE! Even the rice-krispy treats were big. We all ate on ours for several days.

I am really enjoying my new camera. Can't wait to use it again in 35 days!

I figured we would have to pass on it though I will probably let my Dad and DBIL know about it since I think they both would like it. :thumbsup2

I can imagine that those would be a multi-day dessert!! Could you imagine trying to eat one those in the same sitting? :scared1:

MK--:yay: for getting a good amount done in a short period of time!! I hope we have the same on our trip! :goodvibes:

  Your next trip is fast approaching!!

I'm so sorry I haven't been on here in awhile Michelle! I promise to be a better DIS friend! Okay, lots to comment on.

1. Oh my goodness! That shake looks amazing! It's making me wish that we had an ADR at Sci-fi.

2. That Animation Academy looks like so much fun! I know we couldn't do that right now with our little ones but I was wondering about the gift store where you bought the drawing book. Where exactly is it? I'm thinking Alex might like to have a drawing book like that.

3. WOD with smaller children is a nightmare! Mike and I usually split up and each take a child with us. And with a stroller...forget about it! So frustrating!

4. I am determined to go to the Goofy Candy Company now. I must get me some of that sugary goodness!

Can't wait to hear more about breakfast at 'Ohana!

HI! I am here...subbing!! Your family is just beautiful! I HATE Dinosaur...what a GREAT parenting technique :thumbsup2 haha!

Looking forward to reading more about your trip!

I do have to admit, that the apple was way better than the rice krispy! :thumbsup2

Yes, over many days--- I think it took Rachel until Wednesday evening to finish an apple she got on Monday night.

That's ok, Alicia. It seems as if the closer it gets to the end of school, the crazier it gets, at least for me!

1. The shake was yummy. Rachel and I had chocolate, but Elizabeth had cookies-n-cream!

2. The gift shop was the one that's part of the Animation building. If you are standing in front of the building (with Playhouse Disney on your right)--the gift shop is in front of you, but to the right side.

3. And it's hard to get a lot of looking around in WOD when you're trying to keep up with just one child.

4. Someone who appreciates a sweet treat, like yourself, will LOVE  GCC! ;)

Hi, Katie! I've seen you around on other TRs that I'm subscribed to. Glad to have you join mine! :)

I'm sure some people would disagree with our "parenting" technique.

Thank you! I know exactly where you're talking about. I've bought a crosstitch pattern or two from that store.

We left Magic Kingdom and headed out right to the resort monorail. We were headed to my beloved Polynesian Resort! :goodvibes

We arrived at ‘Ohana with about five minutes to spare before our ADR time. We checked in and were given a buzzer. While we were waiting, I wandered around the lobby and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

We waited about 5-10 minutes, and then were called. I had made a late ADR (seems like it was around 10:40 or so) and all the kids were starving….or so they thought! ;)

We were seated at a round table that was behind the fire-pit. I’ve eaten at ‘Ohana three or four times. The first time we ever ate there, we were placed in this area, and then on this trip. I really don’t like it…:sad2:....I’d rather be in the large dining area. This was my sister's first time to eat there, and I would have rather sat in the main dining area, but I didn’t fuss, and we took our seat, happy to eat!

We had a great server---very sweet who started us off with that yummy pineapple bread and that Poly juice. Rachel and I LOVE ,LOVE , LOVE this stuff!:love::love:

It wasn’t long until the characters began to visit our table.

I don't know what's wrong with Meg in this picture, but my sister will probably say, "That's awful."

When we had finally filled our tummys, it was time to go. No really seemed to be in a hurry to leave. (My sister and her family stayed at Poly last year for the first time, and now they’re Poly addicts, too! ) :thumbsup2 So, we wondered into Trader Jacks and did some “eye” shopping.

We then wandered downstairs to Boutiki and looked around. I wound up buying a magnet that says Polynesian Resort, because I realized that I don’t have one! ;)

When we headed back upstairs to catch the monorail, I noticed this carving and there was something quite interesting about it.

IMG_0544.jpg

Upon closer look, we realized that he is sticking his tongue out!

IMG_0542.jpg

How funny is that! Ever the clever one, Rachel had to ham it up for the camera!

IMG_0543.jpg

We boarded the monorail to take us back to Magic Kingdom! Sadly, the streets of Frontierland would not look like they had that morning! :scared1:

Wonderful pictures of Ohana's and the Poly, DH and I will be eating there for the first time in June. I will be sure to look for the funny carving, and maybe take a picture.

Gorgeous picture Michelle!

We've never been to O'hana for breakfast, just dinner, and we really didn't care for it. Breakfast looks like fun though, may have to give it a try sometime :thumbsup2

Rachel sticking her tongue out at the statue is too funny!

I love the Poly! And your pics are great(:
We'll be eating at 'Ohana for breakfast in July, only eaten there for dinner... I'm excited to eat there for breakfast

Aaahhh, the Poly. Love that place! I sure wish there was DVC there.

Great pictures from 'Ohana! Looks like a fun breakfast...I am going to check my summer schedule and see if I can squeeze it in somewhere.:rolleyes1

Good ol' Polynesian. :goodvibes Awesome pictures. I miss staying there so much.

Aaahhh, the Poly. Love that place! I sure wish there was DVC there.

YES! My family does too, we would so buy there.

Someday we will have to try `Ohana for breakfast! We've had dinner there twice and it was yummy both times.

I never noticed that "fresh" statue before! I will have to look for it next time!

I think poor Meg got caught in the middle of a blink!

Glad you treated yourself to the Poly magnet... I'll bet it makes you smile every time you see it! :goodvibes

Kathy

How fun to have a late breakfast at 'Ohana. I haven't tried breakfast, but we had dinner there on our last trip.

I love the picture with the statue!
