You should go for it! I go solo all the time and I love it.

You also could try to meet people on the boards to meet up with. I've done that in the past and it worked out great.

My favorte times to go are in early May and October (for Halloween). May is just around the corner so I am shooting for October.

I would love to meet some singles that are going around the same time. I am digging through the threads but they are a bit overwhelming due to their size. I think it would even be fun to meet someone in my general area to have a travel companion getting there. I love to travel!

May and October are both very popular times for adult and solo WDW trips. There's a very good chance some DISers are usually around the parks to hang out. The October time frame has the Food & Wine fest which is one of the best times to visit as an adult. Plenty of things to do as a solo visitor.

We've got a thread going to to at least figure out when folks will be down during F&W, and to possibly organize things a bit to hang out. Se the link below:

Do it. Lol. I go ALL the time solo and never feel out of place. I'm going solo this weekend and gain for the 24 hour party. It's great. Do what you want, when you want. You can meet up with other solos and hang for a bit.
