Need to pay DVC dues. Went to BJs to get $500 gift cards. They only had the "make any amount between $25 and $500" gift cards. I got them, took to cashier and said I need these for $500.

Here comes the dumb part........She rang them up for $500 each. I paid. On the way home, it dawn on me, what about the discount? You know , $25 card is $24.53 or something like that. $500 should be about $480 ish.. I spoke with Bjs chat and they will get back to me. I'll give them a day, then contact again.

Driving right back isn't possible today.

I bought one recently online from BJ's, it was a 4% discount and was in the $480 price range definitely not face value. Get that refund from BJ's. Just got my Red Card at Target so going there next time for 5% discount so that should be about $475 each for the $500 cards.

I usually only buy the BJ's (4% discount) when Discover or Chase Visa has the extra 5% cashback at warehouse clubs. Otherwise, it's Target for me...

Yeah a few weeks ago I bought a $500 card at the store with the discount. But they didn't have any today.

DH doesn't like having a grand or so of gift cards running through the mail.

But that's crazy, If I need to buy a slew of $50 cards in order to get a discount because they were out of $500 cards, I'd do it.

Conclusion to the story. For those who say name any price they don't discount.......You're right. Perhaps it was my 5, 953 text messages ,but I just got a call from the local bjs, and they are giving me a bjs gift card for the discounted amount. That $60 and change.
