Don't answer the phone, it's her AGAIN!!

Hi ...I am off to COnfessions....lol....go to ktink's thread on the resorts board....have you seen it yet? I am losing everyone....even you stepdisney....I am still trying to play catch up....Missed you guys too.....:(

Disneybride, So glad you're back! Well I'm not going to change to CBR. I'm really beginning to look forward to WL.

Well I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who listened to my poor, pitiful, resort changing saga. But me and my friend sat down at work and found ALL kinds of WL reviews. She found some on trip advisor and expedia. Anyway by the time I got home and talked w/ DH I was really excited. Today I'm really excited and can't wait!

stepdisney, hang in there! A room will open up for you, I just know it!

Hi all:) Missed you guys too...I wrote a long post at our other thread, and then lost my connection up here the other night !!! UGH!
So...glad you are excited abt WL now!!! Stepdisney, if AKL is meant for you, it will happen. Also remember, at least for me, when things are out of my grasp, I want them more!!!! Everythiing happens for a reason!
So, I will go post at the other thread.......dont want to hijack ktinks thread abt all those upgrades at SSR and OKW!!!

WL is the highest WDW resort rated at Tripadvisor!! There is great info there too!

Disneybride, I've been meaning to tell you that if you ever run into Brett Farve while in Wisconsin... you must get me his autograph! I am HUGE Packer fan!!!

I also wanted to tell you all I had posted on the other thread that we found out recently that my dad's aunt has cancer. Well they went to meet w/ the surgeon today and they said that it will be a fairly easy operation to remove the tumor. She will only have a 4 to 6 week recovery time. I wasn't exactly sure how old she is but she will be 77 next month. Anyway the Dr said that she is so strong and that they are giving her w/ the surgery 2- 5 years to live! So we are all very thankful for this great news.

I just had to come over here and post. I just visited the WL thread and there have been some great reviews w/ people returning from their recent trips! I am very excited about this trip and about WL!!!

I dare say that I will NOT try for AKL anymore! I have been convinced that WL is the place for us this trip!

There seems to be only one last problem.... I don't have anything left to do but pack. All of our ADRs are set, I'm very excited about WL and I didn't think that was going to happen, we've got our PPP tickets. What else can I do? Buy flip flops!!

I am sure you are going to love WL!!! It looks like a beautiful resort and there is a lot to do there!

Thanks and you are so right about WL. BTW, I loved your bridal shower pics over on your pre trippie!

It just hit me, I'm now at 79 days. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: the days are really flying by now!

DH and I were just talking about our trip in Jan/Feb and I can't wait until we're able to start planning it. I have to get this first one perfected before I can start on that. I really don't know which way we should do our trip in Feb. I'm thinking AKL is out because I really want that to be a first for the entire family but I'll have to feel the kids out. And then I'm wandering if we should go w/ maybe ASMu or PORS. DH says Poly will be fine but then I don't know if I'll ever overcome the price and if I do that needs to be a family trip. Really the resort for our trip is a non issue as we'll be out and about and won't worry about making sure the kids have activities.

So any opinions on our "no kid" trip is appreciated. :)

FLIP FLOPS!!! OH YEAH :woohoo: I can see my new french pedicure in my new purple tinkerbelle flip flops now!!! I'm trying not to wear them until Disney but it is soooo hard.

Save them, you know it'll be worth it! :goodvibes

I'd ask my DH to hide them from me but I'm afraid he would forget where he put them.

I am glad that you are content with WL. I am, somewhat, though I continue to call AKL...to no avail. I've begun to study WL and to remind myself of all of the things that made my DS choose it. Where are you finding pictures? I'd like to see some wishes view photos.

stepdisney, That is hilarious. My DH would totally forget where he hid the flip flops. :lmao:

Anyway go over to Trip Advisor and there were several pictures. There was a beautiful picture of Wishes from the WL beach. When we saw that I had tears come to my eyes and so did my BF and she's never even been to WDW. :rotfl: I wasn't going to let this cat out of the bag but... yesterday morning I called CRO and checked on AKL. This is the second time that I've talked to a CM who tooted WL's horn. She also told me that she stayed at WL last year and that she adored the resort. Which there was no availability at AKL and I'll tell ya when she was checking I was actually thinking to myself.. What if it is available, do I really want to give up WL? I really am at peace w/ WL and I don't plan on calling anymore.

Go and look at those pictures and read the reviews on TA and allearsnet. And hide those darn flip flops. :rotfl2:

Repeat after me.....

"WL is the place for me...WL is the place for me".....that and killer flip flops!!!! lol
I love Trip Advisor.....WL is ranked #18 on their list of Orlando hotels, and THE first Disney hotel on the list. POFQ use to be the highest ranked...SSR gets good reviews there too!! It changes sometimes though!

Another reason to love WL!

Well as everyone knows tomorrow is Father's Day but it is also my mother's birthday and then Monday is DD's (she'll be 11) birthday. Perfect moment to add that my mom was devastated that her first grandchild wasn't born on her birthday but the day after. ;)

So before I go rambling, as I'm known to do. This calls for a shopping trip. So we're going to go to the mall in Franklin and do some shopping. The youngest DD, Chloe, has almost moved into my mom's house this summer so she won't be along for the ride. So DD 11, Kara Lee, will be going w/ me with her money in hand. She is on a mission to visit Limited Too and perhaps Build a Bear Workshop. DH is also along for the ride. So I'm thinking DH won't mind if we stop at Home Depot. Today is the day to get my LIME GREEN MICKEY HEADS!!!

I've anxiously awaited the day when I would be back at Home Depot to obtain the LGMHs. Let's just hope none of the DIS freaks in our area have lifted all of them for their countdown calendars or I'll be one ticked Lime Green Mickey Headless, ktink.;)

So any opinions on our "no kid" trip is appreciated. :)

I would stay far, far, far away from AMSU especially on a "no kid" trip.

I'd want something far more romantic. Actually the WL would be perfect for a "no kid" trip. Very relaxing.... Or if you plan to spend a lot of time in the Epcot/MGM area then the YC or BW would be a good option.

For the mods... my suggestion would be POFQ. This is the smallest mod resort and the hot tub area is seperate from the pool.

We couldn't get an AP rate for July so we are staying offsite in a WL 3-brd townhouse with its own pool. Then for our Dec trip I either want the WL, Poly or if we end up loving the townhouse....

Good luck on your choice!

:goodvibes I am glad you have found peace with the WL. It's a lovely resort and I am sure will enjoy it!

Have fun shopping! :hippie: I think we are going today too to buy DH some new shorts and the kids need new bathing suits! ;)

Well my mission for the LGMH's failed. We went shopping and took DD to Limited Too, Build A Bear, and then did some shopping for Father's Day by the time we left we were starving and went to get a bite to eat. I forgot about the LGMH. :scared1: But it gives me an excuse to go back. DH needed some Tylenol after seeing the prices on the clothes at Limited Too. :lmao: Bless his heart, he is SO sheltered and doesn't have a clue how much it costs to look cute. ;) Rentayenta, I hope you did better shopping than I did.

Anyway I just have to say I am really looking forward to WL and cant' wait for our vacation. I've been trying to decide on the resort for our Jan/Feb trip. Minnie, I know what you mean about the values on an adult only trip. Really having no kids around will be romantic enough that we won't care where we stay. :goodvibes We will be flying down on that trip too so I'm trying to cut costs where I can. The bad thing about it is that it is cheaper to stay a week at WDW than just a few days but we're still going.

I'm leaning towards ASMu because of flying down and then the cost per night. It tends to be the value that more couples enjoy or so I've read. I'm going to look into PORS and CR. I'm trying to stay at a resort that the kids wouldn't really care about staying at. If we stay at ASMu then I'd be able to see how we would like the All Stars for future visits. Then I think PORS looks really nice for a couple trip. And then I think about the rooms at CR and it would be cooler so no need to use the pool. They really need a better pool for that resort. And it would be awesome to stay on the monorail.

ASMu may have the cheerleaders during that time of year so it may be worth the $$ to upgrade just to get some rest. Oh well, decisions, decisions.

Ktink,

If you upgrade your tickets for this trip to 10 days plus you add the non expiration option, you would have your park tickets for your next trip. OR you could upgrade to an AP and then you could get a great AP rate for your romantic trip. :thumbsup2 So many options, so little time. :goodvibes

stepdisney, I didn't even think about that. I've looked into the AP but I think the 10 days w/ no expiration would be cheaper. Now would we have to upgrade all of the tickets on the package? Or once we got there could we upgrade only mine and DH's? :confused3 Love the idea!

Also one thing I forgot to add is that we'll want to purchase DDP. Will that work that way?
