wasnt worth it. we didnt like it. to crowded. one day in Animal kingdom we run to the safari and the line was awful. way too long then the park was too crowded. other day in epcot we had to hop to other park with nothing done.

We experienced the same thing at Animal Kingdom on a Monday back in May 2003. We ran for the Safari and there was a long line. I'm glad we got there early because around noon the crowds were unbearable.

We look to see what park has EE and then we go the opposite direction.

I've read other people say they avoid EE mornings because of the increased crowds. Would this apply to September as well? I've been reading how small the crowds are so wonder if EE would make that much of a difference.

Thanks

In September the crowds shouldn't be anything like summer time. EE is something you either love or hate I think. I do think many people find it to be an advantage. However, sometimes the crowds are so heavy it just isn't going to help.

I don't understand how's it so busy on early entry... It's only for on-site guest that are allowed. I'm planning on trying to do Animal Kingdom Early morning on August 16th, because i here it's better in the morning before the heat kicks in. Then i hear how busy it is and wonder with 3 kids if it's worth the trouble.. HHHMMMM..... desicions, desicions... I'll play it by ear, and wait to see what happens...

I have had luck in the past with EE so I'm going to try it again during this next trip. Hope it works!
mike2u ~ I'll be there at AK on Monday, 8/16 too! :wave2: :wave2:

I usually go in September and even though the crowds are small, I still avoid EE parks. Crowds are usually low enough that I dont feel I need it, plus it does seem the park is more crowded on EE days.

I've always been a big fan of EMH... until our last trip. I decided not to run my kids ragged and let them sleep a little later. We went to regular park opening at non-EMH parks. It worked out great. One day, we had CRT reservations before park opening. After, MK was just opening at regular time. It was virtually empty (that was on 7/2 by the way).

This is our philosophy now. Our first trip with my DD was miserable because we were trying to get up early and we were dealing with a 1 hour time change, which doesn't sound like much, but it makes a difference. We too sleep a little later, and hit a non-EMH park at opening. We also plan 1 breakfast before MK opening. This just works so much better for us.

We did EE at AK on 7/19 and it was great. There were no crowds...although the rain may have kept people away.
We also did it at MK on 7/22 and I will admit that was a lot more crowded than we expected. It was worse than we have ever seen for EE and weve done it quite a few times. In the end with the use of FPs,and some planning we did get most stuff done that we had wanted to, but we were very surprised by the lines.

I'm with Diskim and slp87... no more ee for us.

Generally speaking we do park openings at non-ee parks and seem to do better as more things are open.

The one ee we did last trip was MGM and it was freezing that morning! DD and DH ran off to do TOT or RNR (can't remember which) while DS and I went to Muppets, got to Muppets and it was closed! Having a "technical problem". Went to Star Tours... also closed! People were angy:mad: because there was nothing for little ones to do. After 30 min. Muppets opened and we did the first show of that. Right at reg. park opening, Star Tours opened and we did that. But it seemed like a wasted effort.

We did reg. park openings at MK and Epcot and did many rides in the first hour with no waiting (Buzz twice, SM, Astro orbitor, TT, MS etc...)

DH and I are both early birds so we LOVE EE. DD is not an early bird but all I have to do is whisper into her ear, "Time to get up...you're at Disney World." and she hops right out of bed. We go to the EE park and usually stay until after lunch. Then we go back and take a nap and switch to a different park later in the day.

I love the fact that the parks are practically empty...it's just so beautiful early in the morning at the parks.

We too are early birds, but no more EE for us either. Once upon a time it was great, but now, give me the park that is NOT EE and that's where you'll find us. We now go for a nice sit down breakfast, they go to one of the non-EE parks. With so many more resorts and DVCs, the crowds are getting to be too much.

Last trip (10/03) was our first exp with EMH. I made CRT ressies for 9:45, and we hit the park almost at the beginning of EMH. It was great to do a bunch of rides before breakfast! Crowds were non existent, and we finished Fantasyland in time to avoid the heat & growing crowds. We did EMH at MK twice more that trip. I would think more guests try to take advantage of EMH during the busier seasons. We will utilize it again in Sept to avoid the mid day heat, and hopefully, the rain!

We've always had great luck with EE. We plan our route aheand of time and can get through several main attractions in that hour. Then we grab fastpasses for return rides and head off to the less popular rides when the park opens to the general public (as they rush for the rides we've already done)

I have to agree with Camcolt. We were there the same time period and I have never seen EE so crowded. AK wasn't bad but it was raining. We did EE at Epcot and for the first time saw the rush for TT and MS. We were going to TT and thankfully everyone else was going to MS. We went to MS next and there was already a 30 minute wait. We waited because there wasn't anything else we wanted to do at Epcot during EE. There were masses fo people at MK and MGM for EE. Usually we have felt like we had the park to ourselves but not this year.

FP were available during EE so we were able to use them to eliminate much of our wait on other EE rides. Many people didn't realize you could get them during EE. On R'nR we were able to get a FP, ride and then walk right back on with our FP. TOT was already a 30 min wait as well so we got a FP for later.
