Can anyone tell me about Robin Hood airport?
Is it easy to find, is the parking convenient and can I get a good breakfast before flying!

The alternative is Manchester which looks about twice the distance from the A1/M62, but at least I know what to expect there.

Hiya Graeme
Thumbs up from me for Doncaster Airport (although i am slightly biased) i have flown from there 3-4 times not to orlando though. There are a couple of weatherspoons for breakie, also a self service cafe, and a cafe bar in departures which do a mean breakfast baguette tyoe thing, not sure about parking or how easy it is to find etc, as i live about 20 mins away and family drop us off. But would thoroughly recommend it, it is a lovely small airport with masses of security, so you feel really safe.

Hope that helps
Ali

I would highly recomend doncaster airport. It is small, but because of this there's hardly any wait for anything. There's not many shops, though there's 3 cafes for breakfast. There's a food court, a cafe-bar and a Weatherspoons. We always opt for the latter - full english for £6.99. The airport is easy to find and is well signposted. The car park is litteraly in front of the terminal (the best way i can describe it is like a giant supermarket) you get a car park ticket from the entrance barrier when go in, then pay when you get back. You can pay at a machine when you get back (as you would at any car park, just enter the ticket then insert the required coins) or you can prebook online. If you do this you still have to get a ticket at the gate, but rather than put it in the machine you take it to customer service to be validated. I would prebook for a 2 week holiday as the difference can be over £20.

We're flying to Orlando for the first time from Doncaster in Sept, though have travelled from there numerous times before. In future i will always book from Doncaster where possible (we were planning a february trip from donny to disneyland paris as we did this year, though ive just found out they no longer fly from donny to paris :sad1:)

Thanks for the replies, I'm looking at Thomsonfly flights from there for about £300 each in Sept.

Living in York, Doncaster would be a closer airport to fly from than our normal Manchester. Who flies drom Doncaster to Orlando?

We flew to Orlando from Doncaster last year and found it to be a great airport. It's not too big. We had no problems at all and would fly from there again, much easier than Manchester for us. :thumbsup2
