Hi all! Just found out something new that I thought I'd pass along 
I had some US airways miles (flew them once) that were just sitting there. I knew I most likely wouldn't fly them again in the near future and didn't have enough points for an award ticket and had basically forgotten about them...until I saw something about donating unused airlines miles. Sure enough, I went to US airways website and there is a spot to instantly donate your points to the "Make a Wish Foundation"!! I 'm so glad that someone will get some use out of these miles. I'm sure all the other major carriers particiapte in a similar project, so if you have unused airlines miles-please check it out and consider donating them to help someone else.
