Donating points to charity?

There's a local animal rescue group that is having a silent auction at their "Fur Ball" and I'd like to donate a Valentines Day weekend get away to Disneyland using my points.
I've never rented out points or done anything like this before. How do I go about it?
When I call MS, do I give the organization's name for the reservation or my name and then transfer it to the winner's name after the auction?

Any help would be appreciated.

You could do it several ways but I'd suggest you make the reservation first and do so in your name then change to the winner when appropriate. Do realize it's not tax deductible in any way.

I don't have any advice, but I want to commend you on doing such a nice thing. I'm sure it will help to raise money.

Thanks! We know it's not tax deductible, but that's ok. It's for a good cause and we hope that who ever wins it, is as much of a Disney nut as we are!
