Does anyone know of a group that will accept contact lenses to give to people that need, but can't afford them? I have 6-8 boxes of disposable ones that I'd like to donate to somewhere rather than just toss them. I had LASIK surgery last year and don't need them any more. I know the Lion's Club does frames, but I don't believe they do contacts.

Call your local Aids Resource Center, they can use stuff like this since their clients have to spend so much on meds, this would help someone save some $$

I can't imagine they're something you can donate to anyone. They're a prescription item, not something that's transferable to someone else.

It's a nice idea, but in reality, I would think a person who could not afford to purchase contacts could also not afford the contact lens exam and the cost of daily solutions and cleaning supplies.

Sell them on Ebay... I've seen them listed before....

I returned a couple of unopened boxes of contacts to Sam's CLub after I had my lasik surgery last year. They took them back with no problem.

They will take contacts back as long as the boxes aren't opened. With 6-8 boxes you could buy yourself something nice.
