Which one is best? We are staying at the Contemporary and on our AK day which should we do for breakfast? DD4 loves Mickey and the gang but we will see them at Chef Mickey's. DS12 is a fan of Stitch. Also I don't think we will have an early breakfast since we are planning on doing MVMCP the night before. (I know- I planning way ahead of time). AK is probably not going to be open very late this day either, I think I'm remembering it closing at about 5 in December. So all these factors are part of my decision making. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks-

Oh that's a tough call, but of those two, if I could only choose one, it would be Ohana's breakfast. We LOVED it. But Donald's safari is still great, so you wouldn't be sorry doing that one. If that suits your plans better it is still a great breakfast.

I preferred Ohana's over the Safari breakfast, but if it's a short day at AK and you want to get in the park early, the Safari breakfast would still be ok. There's actually more of a variety at Donald's but I just like Ohana's better.

I agree with the previous posters -both are good, but my family prefers Ohana. I love the breakfast potatoes!

Bucking the trend I guess -- we didn't care for Ohana's breakfast but we've done Donald's every trip. I think the advantage of being right there at the park if you're planning an AK day anyway would make it worth your while to do Donald's.

Those are my family's 2 favorite Character meals...(with 1900 Park Fare Breakfast coming in at third place-we like Alice and the Mad Hatter) :thumbsup2-I don't think you'll be disappointed either way

If you are staying at the Comntemporary I don't think the luxury of gliding around on the monorail to the Poly can be over looked...We booked Ohana because we are great Lilo and Stitch fans-and they didn't dissapoint-the interaction was really good...Lilo and Stitch and Mickey and I think Pluto spent lots of time at our table-Stitch was a little naughty (:lmao:)-he and Pluto were scuffling...and you get Mickey too-although you'll have him at Chef Mickey's..

every half hour or so there's a little musical parade the kids can participate in...if they want to-very cute...

As for the Safari Breakfast-we did that when it was at its old site-before Tusker House-and I liked it then and I've read that the food is actually better now...I loved seeing the characters in the safari gear and especially DONALD-he's not so easy to find at the breakfasts...we also booked this for the earliest time-we were 8 or 8:10 so we were right there before the park opening...:cool1: We are doing it again in August since we are staying at the AKL-and it'll be convenient for us...

so it's a tough but enviable decision...Since we're only doing one character breakfast this go round-we want Mickey, Donald and Goofy-in your case since you're already getting that at CM-I might try Ohanas-I think it is one of the most unique, fun experiences and will be easy for you to get to the morning after the party...

Either way you can't really miss...:thumbsup2

This is a different option but I would do both Safari and Ohana's and skip chef mickey. We have stopped going to CM. It was terrible the last two times we went. The food is awesome at the safari breakfast and the characters are wonderful. My kids really enjoy the parade there with the intruments. Ohanas is pretty good food but the big thing will be stitch!

I pick Tusker House so at least you are in AK (rather than a late breakfast at Ohana and having to still travel to AK after). Take one of the later ADR's (but remember to call on the first day that you can make ADR's- this place goes like hotcakes lately!!!) and if you happen to make it to the park earlier, you can always grab a FP for the safari or something before you eat.

I would save Ohana for another day since it is SO EASY to get to from CR.

I say since DD gets to see her favs at Chef Mickey's, DS should get to see Stitch...so I'd go with Ohana! Plus, the food is great!

I know it's not the same as seeing them at a CM, but I'm pretty sure Lilo & Stitch are regulars at AK. If you eat at Tusker House, you can still see Stitch after.

NO, Lilo and Stitch are NOT at Donald's, only Ohana. Since Mickey is at all three the choice of characters is
Ohana: Lilo, Stitch, Pluto
Donald's Safari Breakfast: Donald, :love:Daisy, Goofy.
Seems like an easy choice to me!;)

No I think got2luvtink means that after breakfast you can go and find Lilo and Stitch around AK for meet and greets.

I have been struggling with that decision, too. I've never eaten at either of these places, so take my opinion with that in mind. I think I like Ohana's better because it's served "family style" and not buffet like at Tusker House. You won't worry about getting food and missing the characters. The selection of food is probably better at Tusker, though. Happy deciding!:cool1:
