Donald's: Is it really worth it......

Hi. I read on another thread that if you have an early ADR at Donald's that you are more likely to get to EE faster than at the park opening. Does anyone have experience with this? Right now we have an ADR for 10:30 but I am considering changing it if we will DEFINITELY be able to ride EE right at park opening. Thank you so much for your help!

Even if you were seated by 8:05, you still are pushing getting to EE by opening. I would assume that even if you sit down and scarf down some breakfast, not waiting to see the characters, you might get to Asia before 9:00, but I am assuming that the path entering Asia would be blocked off until opening. Still, you would be at the path before anyone else, so I guess it would be possible. If you decide to do it, be sure and let us know how it works out!

DW & I have an 8:10 ADR at Donald's. I was thinking if we got seated on time, we should be able to finish by 9:00. No kids. Then off to EE. Maybe I'm being optimistic. If nothing else, we should be able to get a decent fastpass time.

We had an ADR at 8:05 and were in the first group of the day, so we got to see all the characters first. We were done by 8:45, and waited until they took the rope down, very quickly walked (ok, a slow jog) to EE and were the first ones on the ride for the day. They let us go in the fast pass lane.

Thank you so much for your replies. I think I am going to change the reservation if possible.

Our reservations were for 8:00. We were finished in plenty of time to wait at the rope for the park to open. We got through one rope and then were stopped at another one. That one had a CM at each end of the rope. They slowly walked ahead and we all had to stay behind the rope. We also got to go on EE through the fast pass line. It wasn't too busy so some of us went on again right away.
