Donald's Defiant Dashers Team Challenge

Triple D's How is everyone doing? We have only 2 more days of training before we post our totals. I don't know how many people have been looking at the totals for the first month but we are only 30 miles and about 95 minutes worth ofr training out of 2nd place. To know that we have come so far in just a couple of weeks is wonderful. Wouldn't be great if we move from 3rd to 2nd this week? Of course, there is no pressure at all since this is such a long competition. We can only do what we can do. As it has been said, there is no need to rush recovery and cause injury. That is not what we want to do at all.

I would also say that I love reading everyone's posts about what they were able to accomplish for that day. It is so motivating for me. I guess I realy want to just say that I hope everyone is having a great week. This is an awesome team and I am very happy to be a part of it.

Hi, Bryan...

I'm a little bit bumming...thank goodness I get double miles for doing the 1/2 marathon on Sunday. My coach told me not to try to "make up" for not being able to run yesterday. I'll get some bike time in tomorrow on the Computrainer (finish off the IM Canada course), and I had a pretty good swim tonight. Then I head for our favorite place (WDW!) for the weekend, so won't get big miles in. Sort of a lull this week, but I won't let you down in the long run, I promise!

Gotta give my totals now, 'cause I'm heading to WDW for the weekend!

Unfortunately, I had major LTO today, spending the day juggling flights, etc. due to the weather system affecting my travel. :sad2: I was really hoping to get some good bike miles in.

So...
for the week I have:

2.6 miles swimming/2:05
21.0 miles biking (sorry Bryan, it's pitiful!)/1:15
16.6 miles running/3:10
13.1 bonus run miles for 1/2 marathon

Total: 53.3 miles/6:30 hours

ugh.

I do have one swim and one run I hope to do this weekend at the World. And will bike my booty off next week!
Sorry, gang! It's not my best effort.

Betsy - Let me just asy I think that you have done an awesome job. Your effort and continued inspiring posts is all I need to make me want to do more. You didn't have a pitiful week by any means! Way to go!

Have fun at WDW!

Bryan

My totals for the week:

Walking: 2.9 miles/60 minutes
Stationary Bike: 13.2 miles/60 minutes
Core/Pilates (sorta, kinda): 90 minutes

I have started getting some consistancy with regular workouts. I plan to try to increase time now (and hope the body stays together). WISH me luck.

Good Luck:cheer2:

Keep doing the Core/Pilates, you will very quickly see results. There are some moves that seem really difficult in the beginning, with repetition they quickly become easier. Not easy, but easier.

Gotta give my totals now, 'cause I'm heading to WDW for the weekend!.

Have fun:banana:

It was a slower week because I had to spend a lot of time
studying for 2 exams this weekend:scared1:

pilates/core - 4hrs
wogging - 6 miles/ 1.5 hrs
bike- 22 miles/ 1.5hrs

28 miles / 7 hrs total

Have a good weekend everyone!:hippie:

Just sneaking in here

N.E. Bill.....how is the pilates coming along for you? Are you using your pilates machine at home, taking class or doing mat work? Just curious to see how you are liking it and if you have any questions :). I have to say that I'm super impressed with all you pilates enthusiasts here :thumbsup2 . And as SamSam says....stick with it...you will see results and it does get easier as your core strength improves.

happy weekend all!

Today is DW's birthday so I am missing out on my training session. That's ok. I  her still.

My totals for the week are as follows:

Not a good week for me - between the thunderstorms and a sinus infection, I only got to workout 3 days, 2 of which were swimming. Sorry for the low numbers! DH, DS, and I have a 3K tomorrow morning, then tri training will be back on track tomorrow afternoon! :thumbsup2

Miles (Swim and Walk) - 3.11
Minutes - 140

A terrible week for me thanks to back-to-back conferences (I only got out once!). I should be back on track next week.

Miles - 2.5
Minutes - 45

Thanks!

3.4 miles in 45:18. Horrible time, I know but I did 6.4 miles two days ago, got some new shoes yesterday and instead of waiting an extra day of recovery from my long run, I decide to do an "easy" run while DW took a nap. Big mistake!!!!!I was too sore and tight to even try to do what I did. Oh, well, like we said when I was in the Marines, "If it doesn't kill you, it will only make you stronger."

Vic -

Hope I'm not too late that you can't use my miles...

120 minutes

Hey Team,

Just popping in to give my numbers for last week. I had to travel for work and need to catch up. I had a bad week, but no travel this week and this should start to calm down.

6 miles - 55 minutes
