And on a different note, I registered for my first 5K, Sunday April 17th to benefit a local children's hospital. I can't wait!

Yay Robyn! Your first 5K!! I'm so excited for you! I just past my 2nd anniversary of when I began running (began the C25K on 2/22/09) so I've been thinking about those days lately. I can't believe it's been two years and I've now done four half marathons!

Renee, that is nice you are back in the US. I could look this up, buthow far is Houston from Austin? Sounds like you will be a frequent visitor to WDW! I have not signed up for the W&D yet, but do have a room at the BW.

Houston to Austin is a little shy of 3 hours drive.

Speaking of the W&D Half, since I now know my next assignment, I signed up for the race tonight online. So, is it just me and Liz so far on the night of October 1? Anyone else? Anyone? I've got a room at the BWV, too.

Hello All! Just got back home last night from the Princess. Had a WONDERFUL time with friends! 3 out of 4 of us finished and the one who did not made if further than she ever had gone before, so she was very okay with it and proud of what she did. Plus, she made it to 9 and she got a medal anyway! She was happy.

I did it in 2:38 but wasn't shooting for a fast time . . . just having a good time! Stopped and got pics at at least 9 character spots and just came off of strep and the flu. So, I should be happy I was able to finish at all!

The heat got the best of me during the last two miles. I was just exhausted - nothing hurt, though. I just wanted to be DONE in the worst way. The two overpasses really played a mental game with me!

I'm doing the National Half next month in DC and think I must now get a royal blue sparkle skirt. It was so much fun to see everyone dressed up! What a good time!

Can't wait to hear more Princess stories!

Hey Ducks! I thought I would give everyone an update, But first I must THANK YOU ALL for the thoughts and prayers that were sent our way. Our son was born and passed away last Wednesday. My wife was discharged from the hospital on Thursday and back at the hospital Saturday with fever and an infection. She has since been discharged and is at home recovering. I just wanted to give you all the update and thank you for your kindness, it has meant the world to us.

Tim - Again, I am new to this group but I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. A dear friend of mine went through the same thing a few years ago (she had the baby on her due date). I know there is not much to say now, just take it one day at a time and I hope your wife feels better. Take care...
