If we have an 8:00AM ADR and are driving to AK, what time can we get in?

If you are staying at a Disney hotel GET THE BUS, if you are not staying onsite you could have problems at that time. Last year we got the bus for the 8AM breakfast (it was a great breakfast by the way) but they weren't letting ANY cars in until 8.30, even the ones with breakfast reservations.

We just went 2 weeks ago. They were letting cars into the parking lot by 7:45. We had no problem getting to Donald's by 8 am.

Is this breakfast worth the money and start the AK experience out well because I heard there was something right at the beginning when the park opened that was neat but of course I've misplaced my notes...doh!

How can the let you have a reservation that early and not let you in. I would be soooooooooo mad if that happened . We have an 8:10 ps hopefully we will not run into this problem.

We had an 0830 ADR for brkfst, (I know not 0800), we had no problem with the bus, it said "Character Breakfast", we got to the gate around 0830 - 0840. They had a list and asked my name (the name on the reservation, that is). There was a very long walk to the restaurant, when we got there they really weren't ready yet, we had to wait along with everybody else and there were several people there already, waiting...

The food was good, look forward to dining here again in the future. Enjoy!

We were there about 3 weeks ago and they were stopping cars at the gate. It may depend on who is working at the time as to whether you can get in or not. We took the bus and didn't have any problems with it.

I was concerned after reading this thread that we wouldn't be able to get in for our 8:10 seating so I called and asked about it. I talked to someone at dining reservations and someone at the room reservations. They both said if you have a reservation and your name is on the list you should have no problem getting in the gate early. I hope they are rght. The one lady said they get blocked up at the gates sometimes with people saying they have reservations when they don't just to get into the park early. I don't know whats wrong with some people.

Hopefully we will all be able to get in with no problem.

Like I posted before, we were just there on May 6th, and the parking lot was open before 7:45. They didn't ask for our adr until we reached the turnstile. They have an entrance off to the right with a Cm looking up adr info. They also have CM in the park directing you where to go in case you are unsure of where Donald's is.
