So we did the Dolphins in Depth tour on May 20th. There was a group of 8 of us. We met, introduced ourselves, got to know our trainers and leader. Then we went to the behind the scenes area. Learned all about dolphins, their habits, body, intelligence. Went to the front area where everyone can be to watch the dolphin do his training. We were sitting in the front of the tank, with headphones on so we could hear the instructor. It was cool. Then back to put our wetsuits on! Into the water we went. We were split into 2 groups of four. Our trainer called the dolphin over, and we could all pet it and learn about it. We mostly had Renier and Calvin in our area. We spent about 20 minutes asking questions, asking the dolphin to do tricks, petting him, etc.. Then they took our pictures. It is one per person, so if you are a pair, that will be one persons picture. For example, there was 3 of us. So it was my daughter alone, my mom alone, and then my pic choice was of the 3 of us. Then we hung out with the dolphins a bit more. Warning-you will get wet! We thought we would only be wet up to our waists, but the dolphins splashes you, sprays you, etc.. our hair was soaked lol. Then we left, went back to the back tank area, and asked more questions and stuff. Then we changed. In our locker was a satchel bag, towel for us. They have shampoo and stuff in there too. Then we went out and got our photopass card that had pics on it. So NO printed pic in a folder. Just the photopass card. They said goodbye, walked us out. We were there 9:45-12:45. It was $199 per person. No snack. It was alot of fun. My mom has always wanted to meet a dolphin, so it was great to see her excitement. Also good to hear what Disney is doing with their conservation fund to help animals in need. It was expensive, but worth every cent to do as a fun once in a lifetime event!
