Wow - our trip is not until late September, and it looks like we've already gotten an upgrade! I booked a standard room through DU, for $139/night. This is, of course, a great rate, even if we just had a standard view. I did request a king bed, but realized this was not guaranteed. I signed up for SPG, and had DU note my SPG number on the resssie. I also asked that they make note on the ressie that this a belated 30th birthday celebration trip for me.
Well, I went onto the Starwood site to check my ressie, and the reservation says that we have a king bedded, resort view room, with views of crescent lake! According to the categories available to choose from on the DU reservation system, this is two categories above what we booked and paid for!!! Happy Birthday to me!!!
