We just got back from a week at WDW and I am already planning our next visit! It was the best vacation we ever had!! No kidding I almost cried when we had to leave. My husband and I and our 2 year old had such a great time. We split our stay between CBR and GF and did a lot of exploring. I am interested in possibly booking the Swan or Dolphin next time (April 2003) and am wondering if there are any pros or cons to choosing one vs the other. Also we would consider another Epcot area resort if someone has a strong recommendation. Thanks!!!

We just stayed at the Swan. It is a lovely hotel. If you ever decide on the Swan, just be sure that you get a room with new mattresses. Our beds were the most uncomfortable beds we ever slept on....actually we didn't get one good night's sleep.

Aside from that, the location can't be beat. The Swan and Dolphin share the same waterway as the Boardwalk and the Beach & Yacht Clubs.

However, with a young child, I would select the Dolphin. Mainly because there are several nice restaurants there for kids as well as a nice game room and a launderette which are conveniences that are in the Dolphin but not in the Swan.

Both hotels share a beach, pool and boat launches to Epcot and MGM. All the facilites are well-maintained and very pretty. When we visited the Dolphin, I thought it had just a bit more of a "Disney" feel....music playing, more activity, more shops, etc.

If you have any questions, write me.
