If you could stay at Dolphin hotel ( possibly Concierge) or Contemporary Resort Wing room for family of 5 - DS - 9, DD - 8 and DD- 6 what would you do? Will definately go to MK and MGM, might skip Epcot this time, probably do AK. We have only stayed at POR so I know both would be nice for us.
Thanks

Definitely the CR for our family of five! The rooms are so bright and cheery with lots of room! My girls love the big pool even though it isn't as themed as some, and the arcade is huge! Their favorite is the monorail though, with Chef Mickey's and kid's pin trading not far behind!

Either way, hope you have a magical trip!

I prefer to be on the Epcot side of WDW... and I love the feature that you can walk into Epcot through the International Gateway.. I love staying at the S/D and have stayed there quite a bit and concierge is a bonus there as well..

I do like the Contemporary but have not stayed there since the children were little.. it is a plus to be on the MK side since that is what you are planning to do this visit.. Also kids love the monorail going through the main concourse... the wing rooms if my memory is serving are a little hike to the main building... but we have stayed there and enjoyed the quiet of the area...

Good luck in your decision.

thanks, still not sure what we will do. Maybe codes will come out and that will make our decision easier.

Swan and Dolphin offer some great deals for teachers, nurses, and government employees. If there is anyway you can get one of those ($129/nite) it will likely be less than the Contemporary. Sometimes the Contemp. is hard to get into because the military families are staying there while SOG undergoes rennovations.

I'm also an S/D fan. I love the Dolphin. There are so many great things about it. After the few times visiting CR I've never had the desire to stay there although many people love it. If you plan to spend most of your time at MK then you may want to stay at CR (that's the only reason I would).

When we stay in the MK area, WL is my favorite (and usually the most affordable)-we're actually trying an FW cabin for our upcoming trip with family meeting us there, just for the record, they sleep 6 comfortably and depending when you go you can come by some great rates.

But as far as the Dolphin goes it has a great themed grotto pool or you can just hang around the lap pool where there's a nice cafe. Tubbi's is also very convenient.

With a family of 5 you would have to get a rollaway bed or bring an Aerobed (that's what we do for my dd) and we're only a family of 3:)

If you plan to go to MGM, it is just a boatride away. If you do decide to go to EPCOT, you can walk or boat there. I just like the EPCOT area a lot. Lots to do.
