Dolphin at Christmas?

Can someone give me their opinion of staying at the Dolphin over Christmas - 23-28 as compared to other Disney Resorts? We love the Dolphin and can get a good discount there.

But I'm not sure the theming will be as nice as other resorts. What do you think? There will be 5 of us visiting my daughter in the CP program. Thougts, suggestions...

the first week of December last year and thought the resort was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It has a HUGE Christmas tree made of red Poinsettias with a train running around the base. The shop windows in the resort were all decorated as were other parts of the resorts. The staff said they have special events closer to the Christmas that include meals with Santa and Disney characters, caroling, etc.

It was our first time staying at the Dolphin (we had stayed at the AKL two Christmass before) and loved it! We felt it was just as Disney as the other, true Disney resorts.

Can't speak for how you will personally feel but . . . we were at YC for Dec 16-23. It was COLD but it 'felt' like Christmas no matter where we went . . . we visited Dolphin & Swan. All the lobbies in all the hotels were pretty and made it seem festive. You spend so little time in your room, the Boardwalk and the YC & BC are so full of decorations I think you will be pleased. If it were me - I would get the good rate and spend the saved $$ on Candelight Processional, souvenirs and a great dinner at BlueZoo or Flying Fish!
