I have been looking for a full size rental for August. Although the prices are still very high I have gotten the best rate through Dollar. What kind of cars do they offer for full size?
To make a long story short are they a good choice? Because we usually rent from National and have been spoiled by the EA.
Any info at all would be great?

I think the Full sizes are either a Charger or Taurus.

We have used them the last few times at their DTD hotel location useing the KISS2 code. Have another one coming in June but we only do a compact as we only need it for people and no bags . We use ME to get back and forth to the airport.

Join Dollar Express and you can bypass the regular line .

Thanks for the info. But, do you think that the prices will go down as the August gets closer?

I hope so I need a Van for late Aug and don't like the prices right now. But we need this as it's 5 or 6 plus bags as we are going to Vero for 4 days.

I have a compact for a week in June for $124 . Thats a great price and about what I have been paying up to $160 for a full size on our last trip.

We used them last week. We reserved a full size and received a Dodge Magnum which was nice and roomy. Great service and no complaints!

I have used Dollar twice before and loved them. Last time we got a Dodge Magnum and the time before that a Dodge Interpid. It has always taken me 10 mins or less to get my rental at the airport.

you all had no problems. We are renting from them for the first time this August (minivan-for 6 of us) and have another ressie for Sept. which we may cancel and just go with ME (only 3 of us on this trip). Still undecided on that one!

Thanks for the info. As to the prices that were posted, do they include the taxes?

One piece of advice on the mini van....the family we were travelling with reserved a minivan. We got to the counter and they said they didn't have any and wanted them to upgrade to a big SUV and pay extra. My friend said no, we have 7 people and need the minivan. Well, a few minutes later they saiad they had to get one for them. They acted like they had to go across the state of FL for it and it turns out it was in another lot somewhere on the airport.

It seemed like they wanted my friend to upgrade and just pay extra money. Be firm and insist on your van.

I'm holding a minivan for mid-June with a base rate of $159 / week (OCVB code). I couldn't find anything even close to that price. I've used Dollar before without any problems.

I've tried tha one as well I think my biggest problem s that it's just a 4 day rental and it starts on a Sun so I can't get any weekend discounts or full week discounts. We have used OCVB and the KISS2 many times and your right nothing even close with other discounts and codes through the other rental companies. We have never had any issues at all with either the MCO or the grovsenor locations.

I am renting on Sunday but keeping the minivan for two weeks so I got the $159 x 2 rate for my rental period. Last year I had fantastic results with a National double upgrade plus discount deal. National closed that loophole quickly so you can't get to a minivan for an intermediate rate.

We rented from Dollar last Sept. Booked through Southwest site (which is really cheap plus you get rapid rewards) and used the BJ's club code to upgrade from full to premium. Paid $160 (includes taxes) for 7 nights. We got a dodgem magnum but it smelled like smoke so went back and they traded it out for a chrystler pacifica. Loved it and loved that price. I'm not seeing anything near that price right now but my Sept dates haven't become available yet.
