Hi there,
I was just wondering has anyone used the suntan lotion from dollar tree? I found at 30SPF spray and a lotion yesterday. Just wanted to make sure it works well.

I'm not sure that I'd trust that such an inexpensive sunscreen would actually work. I'd recommend just looking for the more inexpensive sunscreens on sale. Sun protection is too important to take a chance on somthing cheap.

Hey, I've noticed that they even sell pregnancy test kits at Dollar Tree! Not sure I'd trust those, either! Can you imagine??

the Dollar Store pregnany test work and really help when you are trying to get pregnant and are convinced this month is the month!!

I have never tried the Sunblock my children have very sensative skin

I've never had a problem with it.

Also, the dollar tree pregnancy tests are ridiculously accurate.

Yup, I can vouch that the Dollar Store pregnancy tests are quite accurate as well. I have an almost 2 year old DD after getting a positive on one. :thumbsup2

same here! now have a 2 year old.

Used the dollar tree sunscreen last year at WDW. Myself and my yougest are VERY fair (almost transparent) also very sensitive skin and we NEVER burned. A lot of the brands they carry are the same as Wal-mart but we did buy a brand I had never heard of last year. Did get the highest SPF I could find. I think it was one esp for babies

I would definately check the expiration dates on the sunscreen. Our school does a collection each year for our local food pantry and last year some of our items were not accepted because they were out of date. They were dollar store items. Not sure how expiration effects sunscreen but better safe than sorry.

I bought a bunch of the Disney continuous spray sunscreen at the Dollar Tree and they have worked GREAT! They were selling the same thing at our grocery store, Kroger's, for much more. And it didn't expire until 4/09.

I have also pruchased the sunscreen. They don't expire until next year, and have used it in our 100 degree weather here with no sunburns . Can't beat the price. BTW....these are also the same cans I saw at Walmart for a lot more $$$.

I recently went to the dollar tree (which has to be the greatest store ever) and found Panama Jack sunscreen and aloe vera for after the burn..lol. They also had the lip balm with sunscreen it.

We used the PoTC continuous spray sunscreen from Dollar Tree at WDW in April. (Cant' find the bottle now, but pretty sure it was made by "No Ad" company, which we use anyway.) We had no problems/burns (and we're a bunch of fair haired northerners :))

As others said, check the exp dates. I would only trust somethign that was a known brand- No Ad, I think someone else siad they bought Panama Jack.

The one thing I'll say is we went through a bottle ridiculously quick. (I think one lasted 2 days for the 4 of us.) Bring more than you think you'd need to get adequate coverage...

I have some of the POTC spray---which was $8 at Wal-mart, and yesterday I walked in and they have my Panama Jack (kind that is orange on the top and purple on the bottom and you shake it to mix it together) that is $9 at Wal-mart and I bought 4 bottles of it. It is only SPF 4, which is what I use, Hubby has to have the kiddie kind! :rotfl2:

I don't know about the sunscreens, but I will never buy lotion from there again. I thought for $1, I would try the really thick creme lotion that comes in a round tub - body type creme. I got a cherry scent but didn't do a sniff test b/c it had a cardboard sleve. I tried it on my legs and arms at home, and the smell was so horrendous that I immediately showered to get the stink off!

Our dollar tree carries Disney Nemo and Pirates spray sunblock. It's been working very well for us!

We've been using the generic 30spf sunscreen and it works just fine. :thumbsup2

Are you guys talking about aerosal sunscreen or squirt/spray lotion? I couldn't find any at my Dollar Tree. :( Where in the store did you find it?

Oh, I did find a couple Disney items though. Besides the usual stationary and toys, I found a pink princess headband and a pink Mickey Mouse and friends headband. They also have HS Musical hand sanitizer on a clip and Disney magic towels (put in water and towel appears).
