We went to the dollar store last night to buy the glow sticks and necklaces for WDW and all the fairs, circuses and Disney on Ice events we seem to end up at(we open a pack last night and they seem to be great...especially for the price(2-necklaces and 2 bracelets to a pack for a buck))

We were also there to look at some of the other Disney stuff. We ended up buying a bunch of the Disney activity books(coloring,stickers,games,etc... Cool books! I played with my 4 y.o. DS when we got home very fun and educational too!) And some Dis Pez dispensers.

My wife was a little skeptical about this (ya know, it's not FROM wdw.) But we have LOTS of "Walt Disney World" shopping bags from last years trip. We had 4 of the smaller ones (the yellow ones for you disney world shopaholics--we learned the whole bag/color spectrum with our shopping binge last year) Anyway, the bag is perfect size for 1 book and 1 pez dispenser so I have 4 "WDW" goodie bags ready to go for neices and nephews when we get back next year (It's nicer than the trinkets we bought for each of them last year and cost 1/2 the price (if that)) . I need a couple of more bags (which I'm sure we will get on this years trip)

I won't tell if you don't tell. As expensive as these trips cost it pays to save everywhere you can. I bought the glow stuff & cookies too! I'm sure that if you really feel guilty, you could purchase some little trinket to put into the bags before you give them. That way something was from wdw. Remember, it's the thought that counts.:D

We are going for the 1st time in Nov. (can't wait) and are not sure what you mean about the bag colors. Is this some kind of secret status symbol? ha ha

Good Idea! I like the idea of something(cheap) from WDW to go in the bag. Even if its free (soap would obvioulsy not be good for the kids, but something like that to throw in the bag)

I think I read once that there are some straws that are really cheap or maybe some candy. I think I heard that there is some cheap candy somewhere.

The nicest thing about buying them in advance...and once I told my wife this she thought better of it... is that we go on a budget, and we are not going til Feb. so this purchase will be long paid for and forgotten and will not have to come out of our (her) budget when we are at WDW.

As for the bag thing we came home with a ton of bags from WDW. We use them throughout the year. Each different size is a different color. I'll have to look again but I'm pretty sure they are all decorated the same but the bag/background is a different color. Red, Yellow, Blue, Green. If you shop like my wife you'll find out soon enough.

Just got back from the local Disney store (bought the 2003 Birnbaum's travel guide for $3.99!) and thought I'd let you know that they are having a great clearance on things. If you have one close by think about stopping. There are even small stuffed animals for .99! Now you're not being too cheap! :teeth:
