Had quotes that are not far apart from Choiceair and Florida Car Hire. Choiceair use Hertz, FCH use Dollar.
Anyone have preferences between the two companies - good or bad experiences?

I would just check which one is onsite, other than that I don't think there is much to choose between any of the companys - someone will have had a bad experience with all of them, and someone else a free upgrade - it's just the luck of the draw.

Just make sure it's at the airport, nothing worse than having to take buses to off-site locations after a long flight.

Which airport are you flying into? Dollar are onsite at MCO (Orlando International), Hertz are not. I agree that it is far easier to rent from one of the companies onsite. We always use Dollar for that reason and because we like the cars they have.

BTW, I got a cheaper quote from www.sunchase.co.uk on Dollar than I could get from Florida Car Hire. You will have to send an e-mail for a Dollar quote, though - the prices quoted on the website are for Alamo.

I prefer Dollar to Hertz. Never had a problem with Dollar, whilst Alamo and Hertz have both caused me grief.

I have a Dollar car lined up for later this month - went through www.airline-network.co.uk and got a good price. sunchase has had some good reviews too.

Another vote for Dollar, here.

Dollar have always been extremely friendly and helpful and the cars have been clean and ready. The staff were you collect the car from are extremely friendly and carry your bags to your car for you, it was all extremely quick and easy.

Hertz, however did cause some mayhem last time we used them. The car was messy and it took a lot longer.

We used Hertz last month, and it is a bus ride away. However, it never bothers us, and the company and the car were fine. It was arranged through choiceair who were also fine. I guess if the price is the same go Dollar maybe for the convenience. If Hertz is cheaper you will have to way convenience against cost. Hope this helps. Carolyn
