Possibly a pricing error so book quick.

I just booked This or similar http://www.jeep.com/en/2009/grand_cherokee/
12 nights incl Platinum cover £258 same car with Netflights £462
For same price I had choice of 7 seater minivan, Sebring convertible or Chrysler 300 touring.
Wish I had my flights for August to book that also.

rate is fully refundable up to 24/48 hours in advance so might be worth booking anyway if your CC can stand the pain;)

Platinum rates (additional driver and full tank fuel) coming out cheaper than fully incl!

I can't find anything anywhere near that cheap for 11 days in August :confused3 Not with Platinum cover anyway - am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the tip off Wayne - Sorted !!! :thumbsup2
£491 for 23 days PLATINUM rental in August for the Jeep Grand Cherokee :yay:
A lot cheaper than Netflight (over £348 extra) :rotfl:

Great price Nigel. Thats another drink you owe me:rotfl2:

Wayne, we arrive on 25th August and fly home on 5th September.

Hi Wayne,

Funnily enough I looked on the Dollar website today and thought the rates looked reasonable!!!

Am I right in saying the difference between fully inclusive and platinum cover is just the extra drivers and a tank of fuel??

I think I will get our car booked tonight!!

Ali.

Oh I am getting very confused now.

I had a quote from usrentacar today for a dodge durango through Dollar from 15th Feb to 5th Mar - £568.75 which I didn't think was too bad for 18 days :confused3

Now when I go direct to the Dollar website I can't see the Durango listed :confused3 Does anyone know what the equivalent would be as we loved the Durango last year......

Ali :goodvibes

The good rates are there Joh,
Same car as I posted in my 1st post 276.45 GBP Platinum, Netflights for same booking Total inc. VAT £419.84 Other cars cheaper, like Full size platinum 232.04 GBP, same on USrentacar will be about £350, have a look I have not checked that one.

Thats correct, you take car back empty as possible and extra drivers included.

Thanks for checking Wayne - don't know what I did before but I was getting rates around the £400 mark. Reckon I must have put dates in wrong or something. Just had another look and got some good prices. Just not sure whether I will get anything better if I wait :confused3

I would say 99% certain these are as low as you will get. I can't see these prices lasting I am sure they have loaded the wrong prices.

Durango is not on the latest list for Orlando. Look here and enter MCO http://www.dollar.com/Cars/FindACar.aspx Its shows Ford Expedition
for Premium SUV or Chevrolet Suburban LS for Luxury SUV.

I just checked mine again and thought that the price had gone up over £100. :scared1:
I was looking at the same car, but it was for 'Fully Inclusive with Sat Nav' :rotfl:

Superb Wayne :worship: Off to cancel Budget now :goodvibes

I got a 7 seater minivan £424 :)

Have now booked - since it's only the two of us, just booked an Intermediate but, with Platinum Insurance, was only £213. Probably the best rate I'm gonna get. Put it on DH's credit card anyway so no cost to me :lmao:

Thank you WayneG...! We have been waiting and waiting (Like a few others on here) to book our cars for our April trip this year. Just booked 2 Minivans (Travelling with friends) at £284 each - which is the Platinum rate so includes all drivers and first tank of fuel.

Fantastic deal as the cheapest we could find from the usual sources was £420 each.

Like you I think it may either be a glitch or alternatively an attmept to get some cash in as they have taken forever to get their prices up this year. I checked only a night or two ago and they were still not quoting for either our April or September trips. They have now got silly prices for both.

Right off to book the August car now.......:yay:

I am now wishing I hadn't booked Platinum rate as DH is suggesting I take the opportunity to try driving over there :scared1:
