I have 26 Flights to choose from on my departure date and not a single one has basic fares

Well, at least they've managed to put up a banner confirming that they're having issues, instead of us just getting random errors:

I've got CPs for 2026 and with points for the rest of us, so it's SW all the way. Just have to wait for their darn system to wake back up.

FYI- got flights booked for 4/11. Not sure if all routes are back up and running or if it's sporadic...

We got our April flights this morning and OUCH. These prices are getting out of control. We ended up changing to go a day earlier (and will book that night with our DVC points), and we booked the way home with Jet Blue because it was slightly less expensive and at a better time. The only good thing about buying them now is I can hopefully forget how painful this process was by the time we go!

Helping a friend book for April. Flights are expensive but he found a few Basic fares. However, if the flight credit is 6 months from date of booking would there be not be a flight credit if he had to cancel in April (since April is eight months away). Sorry but this is so confusing!

Correct he would not have a flight credit as it would have expired if purchasing a basic fare.

Some people have mentioned that they would upgrade to the choice fare and then the credit would be good for 12 months.

I'm not sure if that 12 months starts when you bought the original ticket or when you upgraded it but you would at least have 4 months extra to book something.

Direct or nonstop? If a direct, I’d still consider SW if the price is roughly the same. Nonstop, I’d go for Delta.

These last couple of releases have been wild. I definitely wouldn't be booking if I didn't have enough points to book now and then monitor and adjust when they (presumably) go down.

While I'm not in love with SW prices for May, the cash price and points/miles are comparable to American for the same dates. with SW coming in a little cheaper. Since I have enough SW points right now (and not enough American miles), I booked SW with preferred seats (included with my CC) and I'll hope it goes down before then.

Echoing others that flight prices are wild. Looking at $700 per person to get to Cancun.

It’s so annoying to me because SW has a monopoly on our airport. So our options are either pay out the butt for SW from our home airport nonstop, or drive an hour farther to another airport and fly on another airline with stops.
