Dollar at LAX

Anyone rent from Dollar at LAX or have any thoughts/comments? We are going to DLR and have a full size through Alamo but I can get Premium from Dollar for a few dollars less. The reviews I have read about Dollar in LAX are horrible, especially with comments about the shuttle. The larger car would be nice because we do have a plenty of luggage but can make due with the full size if need be.

I haven't rented from Dollar at LAX.

I have rented from Avis, Alamo/National and Thrifty.

Best to worst:

1. Avis
2. Alamo/National
3. Thrifty

Had to wait a LONG time for both the Alamo and Thrifty shuttles. You see a LOT of shuttles for Avis & Hertz go by while your waiting for the other brands, trust me.
I had 'Blue Chip' at THrifty which meant I should have received priority service...I got nothing. Their 'Blue Chip' counter was closed when I arrived and I had to stand in line like everyone else.

Thanks travelcoupons, I appreciate the input. I had previously checked Avis, but couldn't find a comparable rate but will look again. We have never rented from them so don't belong to their "club" either, but that is easy enough to do.

It is frustrating waiting for a shuttle while others companies all go by. This has happened to us as well.
