That's good. We got ours from Marks and Spencer last year and Travelex the year before, both really good. I noticed Crown Exchange has an exchange rate of 1.92, but never used them before, so don't know what there like.
Tesco, SAGA and Travelex are the current front runners. At around 1.91
My Mum ordered her from Travelex (via TESCO) last week but when they arrived a few of the ($100) notes were riped at the corners (probably by money counter, I guess).
They REFUSED to replace the notes and said there was nothing they could do. She could only risk sending the lot back for a full refund. She didn't want to risk sending the $3000 cash even registered post so she's kept them.
Mum has been in touch with the US treasury who cannot guarantee they will be accepted.
At my nearest Tesco Extra there is a little travel money booth that is commission free. Look out for these if you want to use Tesco at least you can check the notes beforehand.
Thomas exchange are at $1.93. We always buy ours from travelex and use thomasexchange for the pricematch, it's only 2c but if your changing alot then it adds up.
We just changed £2000 so thats $40 extra!!! not bad for nothing.
I got a surprise walking past a 'Cash Generator' shop in Glasgow the other day. They now have one of the exchange boards up so I had a quick glance, thinking they would be offering a rubbish rate. They were offering 1.91! Not bad for what is effectively a pawn shop.
Think the currency was done through a company called www.no1currency.com (and I just checked their website, they are now offering 1.92 )
