Dole Whips

I have been to WDW many times before, I was even married there, but I have to say that I have never had a Dole Whip So this trip I am determined to have one. What is your favorite way to get one, there are different ways you can order them right? And what is the best part about it?

a dole whip is pineapple soft serve ice cream

a dole float is pineapple soft serve ice cream floating in pineapple juice.

they are horribly addicting.

the best part is eating them, the worse part is that real dole whip is hard to find.

Yum, DOLE WHIPS! You can get them at the counter service restaurant in the Polynesian resort and at Aloha Island in Adventureland/Magic Kingdom.

With the dole float, you can also have vanilla whip with pineapple juice, which some people prefer to the pineapple whip/pineapple juice combo. (some even have tried chocolate whip with pineapple juice I'm afraid that would taste like a Beverly. )

That was on my list of things to do on my last trip in Sept. I never got around to it and now I am allergic to dairy so I am so bummed that I never tried it.

I think (but don't quote me on this...) that dole whips are actually dairy-free. My sister and I were both allergic to dairy when we were kids and my mom definitely fed us them at Disney with no problems. So, you might still have a chance!

Now, what exactly that means they're made of, I don't want to know. Because they are delicious.

Though a Dole Whip has the taste and consistency of soft-serve ice cream, the dessert actually gets its texture from ordinary food thickeners. Only a small amount of the milk derivative sodium caseinate accounts for dairy content.

Try getting a dole whip in Magic Kingdom at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. But Aloha Isle closes somewhere in between 3:00 and 5:00 o'clock.

This is the BEST news I have heard in a while. Cheese and milk are my two favorite food groups. I am half (Mickey) mouse I like cheese so much.

OMG! The best thing on the planet especially when it is hot during the summer months. I crave them and its always in the top 5 things to do. Now because other then Disney and Hawaii you can't find them anywhere that I know of I get a dole whip in a cup at lunch and go back for a float. It is way too hard for me to pick. And this was a surprise, you can get them at Poly where where I will then save time to go over and that way I won't have to have two at the park Which counter service?

You MUST try them. They are my favorite "snack credit". Just to warn you, though, some people (gulp) do not care for them. I have a DH who loves going to Disney with us, but for some reason does not see my obsession with the Dole Floats.
He really has an aversion to most all fruit/veggie realted foods, though.

I must have asked for the wrong thing last time we were at the world. It seemed like all I had was vanilla soft serve ice cream. It was refreshing, but I didn't taste any pineapple.
Next time, I'll be sure to ask for an actual "Dole Whip"!

i've always gotten a citrus swirl. they have been my fav since i was a CM, but i might have to try the dole whip week after next...

I like the Dole Whip Float personally! So refreshing!

And on this last trip the CM liked our shirts so much (we made them for the P&PP party) he gave us all of our stuff (2 Dole Whip Floats, 1 Dole Whip and 2 Ice Creams) for FREE!
