Dole Whip?

Okay, I am going to ask a question that may make many disers faint... so considered yourself warned!!

















What exactly is a Dole whip? Is it a float, is it a bowl of ice cream??

I see the line for these at DL all the time and figure it has to be popular but I have never tried one on our many trips to DL/WDW.

It can be both. You can get a bowl of either pineapple or orange, if you are a purist. Or, you can get a float of either pineapple or orange with pineapple juice. My personal favorite is the float, made with the orange whip and pineapple juice. I had one last week...so yummy!

Oh we love Dole Whips!! I prefer the plain old pineapple dole whip.

I've never had one at Disney but my local ice cream stand sells these in the summertime - although, I'm sure they are a bit different. Disney's Dole Whips look PHENOMENAL!

Can anyone tell me the locations where I can get one?

They're OK, but I wouldn't cross a busy street to get one............ I like pineapple too.

You can get them in the Poly and across from the Jungle Cruise in MK

We love them and had several on our last trip, the first time after all of these years that we ever tried them! We prefer the dole whips over the floats. Between the churros and Dole whips that is all my kids talk about!

In Adventureland there is a shop called Aloha Isle where you can get them.

I have also heard that they have them at the Poly, but don't know where exactly.

We like the floats, now that it's covered on the DP. I won't pay the extra OOP to get the float.

I am just back from my first ever trip and not being a fan of Pineapple the Dole whip just did not do it for me. DW however loved them. Now the Citrus Swirl that is also available there.... now that is a different story ummmm yummy

I have to say they are great!

We definately stop for them-they are lactose free, so my niece can enjoy them!

Dole whips are my favorite Dis treat...the best thing ever on a hot day. The floats are so refreshing! My BF doesn't even really like pineapple, but we shared one on our last day at MK last year,and a few hours later (after walking accross the park twice on a 104 degree day) we had to each get one...thank goodness we had lots of snack credits left..hehe

Both are on the DP.

My niece and I had a Dole Whip at DL. When we had the free dining, I got us a Dole Whip Float at MK and she was worried it wouldn't be as good. She found out she likes the float as much or more as she can drink it. The second time I got us one to share she drank just about all of the juice!
