Doing the Add-On Happy Dance

Just got off the phone with our DVC Guide and we're adding on 100 pts at Boardwalk!!! That makes 350 - DW is doing the happy dance. We opted for the 20% down and 3 yr financing so it will wrap up about the same time as our original point loan.

DVC Guide Jim said that half of the recently released points at BWV are gone and he doesn't expect that many of them will make it to the general public on June 1st.

Am I correct that these points are resales DVC bought on ROFR and points for units taken up by the old sales center? I guess the sales center is moving to Saratoga Springs.

We just added on 50 pts. today at VB. Couldn't pass up the deal with MB. $15 off per point if you bought 50 points or more. Maint. fee is slightly higher but not by much. Also VB is only about 30 min. from us. HAPPY DANCE!

Congratulations! We're adding on 100 pts. at BWV too. Spoke with our guide, Lisa, and arranged to meet up with her while we're down at WDW next week.(She also said BWV is selling fast; put an immediate hold on the pts. for us , and I thought our Dec. use year wasn't popular) Now, I guess I'll just have to plan another vacation......it's never enough!

JimC - Am not sure about Disney buying back on ROFR - our guide told me that it was due to the sales center being converted into guest rooms and the sales center being moved to Saratoga Springs. One thing I didn't mention in my previous post was concerning the magical beginnings. The e-mail I received indicated that you could save $10 per point (and they are going for $84 now). The caveat is that you have to be in the first nine months of your use year to get that magical beginning. Since we have a June use year, we are now eleven and a half months into our use year so we didn't qualify for that. Didn't make a difference to us - we had been talking about buying additional points for a while and were thinking of Beach Club Villas (also going quickly). This was a great opportunity for us that we couldn't pass up.

Congrats on your add on!!! We added 100 points two weeks ago at BCV, then today, we bought another 30 points, with cash that came our way, that we were not expecting. We now stand at 350 points and hope to add some more points next year.

What a happy day, I started out this morning doing the "Double Digit Dance" 99 days until we leave for our MAGICal cruise, then this afternoon, I was doing the "Add On Dance!!!"
