I know DLH has a self-serve laundry area, but is it pretty guest friendly? Does it cost an arm and a leg to run a load? Are the machines efficient at getting clothes clean? Are there enough washers/dryers that you can get your clothes in and out without spending valuable park or sleep time doing laundry. Are there certain hours you can do laundry?

I ask because I want to start packing in a few days and I'd really like to minimize the amount of clothing we take. But, I'd hate to end up with clothes covered in ice cream drips and spilled drinks half way through our trip. And that's just my clothes! There's also the DDs' clothing to consider. :rotfl2:

We were there early in November. The area is nice but cramped, space-wise. I went on a Friday, mid-day, and no one was there except us for most of the time. The machines took quarters and four quarters was a load. The load size was what i would call medium. There were six washers and dryers. The dryers were a dollar but one cycle dried all our clothes (we used two dryers). There are set hours, but since it was mid-day I did not check -the DL hotel will tell you the hours. I would guess it is crowded before and after park hours (naturally) so if someone wants to give up some time, they could do your loads for you.

Remember, this laundry serves ALL THREE resorts - GCH, PP and DLH. We were staying at paradise pier.
