Guess what??? Yesterday at my WI I was down 4#!!!! WOOHOOO! That is a 9.4 pound loss total. I am happy I am finally on my way. This will be a hard week for me as I have traditionally done really good for 2 weeks and then I feel comfy and bottom out. Well... I don't want that again. I am still exercising daily and although yesterday I ate too much, I "felt" thinner this morning. Can't explain it, but for the 3 minutes it lasted it felt good! :cool1:

However today I am a nervous wreck and I am afraid I will be snacking. First, they are predicting 4-8 inches of snow overnight and I have to work tommorow, I will have to drive through that. first of all I hate to drive in snow, I have a 45 minute drive on good days on some country roads, and my car doesn't handle snow at all.

Second, I have so much to do today, homework, kids homework, bills, cleaning.... HELP! Talk me through emotional eating!

You're in a tough place, Vija!!

Some of the best advice and tips I can give:
1. When you're feeling anxious, take a few deep breaths and find a way to relax. I tend to pray (it helps me relax when I hand my problems over to a Higher Power). You can do yoga. You can just sip a cup of tea and listen to some quiet music. You can take a hot bubble bath or shower. Find what works for you and then take the time out to do it. It's worth the few minutes.
2. Drink your water! It's hard to keep eating when you're drinking. That cup in your hand can be as comforting as food in your hand.
3. Do something incompatible with eating. You can't eat while you crochet or shower or exercise or clean out a closet or do housework. Get your hands busy with something else.

I'm sure some others will be by with more suggestions. I hope you're feeling better and less anxious real soon! Best wishes for safe driving tomorrow - we're expecting the same storm.

My foolproof during tomorrow storm will be to force myself to drink a 24 oz bottle of water before my meal and one immediately after! never fails, I am always FULL for hours!
If I am still hungry and need to eat, it will be LC.

I say if your gonna eat too much, eat alot of stuff thats ON PLAN stuff.
I did that last night. I could sleep , I was hungry a so I had a lc pizza, some pork rinds and then a LC ice cream.
Entirely too much food but a total of maybe 10 net carbs.

I am gonna be stuck home as well, as a matter of fact, I just sent my dad to get some cold cuts. I'll send you some stregth k? here goes...... :teleport: lol from me to you
NOW SEND IT BACK!

good luck and drink WATER WATER WATER!

Vija- You can do this! I know you can!

I'm with you on the driving in the snow thing. If the weather is too bad, is there any chance that you can stay home?

Congratulations on the 4 pound loss! Do everything in your power to get yourself over that 2 week hump. Create an image of yourself at GOAL and fight the urge to to get comfy and bottom out! YOU CAN DO IT! :wizard:

Remember to take those baby steps and take it one day at a time.

I just want to second and third what everyone else has said. Nothing rattles my nerves more than driving through rough weather, especially snow!

I would have some wonderful tunes to "jam" to in the car and some legal for my program snacks. Maybe even more than what you would normally have around, just as a security blanket.

Also keep telling yourself, "nothing tastes as good as thin feels!". I modify it in my case and since I just looked at a plate of donuts for the taking in our pantry. I said to myself, "nothing tastes as good as the size 12 pants I have now feels!". You fought hard to take off those 4 pounds and you don't want them to come creeping back on you. You can do this! Think of how proud of yourself you'll feel when this is all over!

I was snowbound for 3 days in a resort with my sis, several kids and my sis's friends last month and I had the hardest time staying OP. We were nervous about and/or when we were going to get back home and the resort was uncooperative about giving us a discount rate for the extra night or nights we'd have to stay. Talk about stressful situation. I refused to let the situation cause me to eat off plan. It was hard finding stuff to eat with the limited menus and vending machines but I did it and feel that I can face just about any situation now and eat OP. If you can make it through this weekend with flying colors, you'll prove to yourself you can get through any situation and stay OP with your plan! I know you can do it!!!!
