Hello All!

I am in the beginning stages of planning a whirlwind vacation of sorts and am looking for any help I may be able to get.

Here are the tentative details:
Boston to Orange County (SNA) on a Saturday, early morning flight (Day One)
Stay at Disneyland until Tuesday (Day Four)
Most likely this will mean two, to two and a half days in the parks. The main purpose to go to Disneyland is for my five year old to see the Haunted Mansion transformed into Nightmare Before Christmas (her favorite WDW ride and favorite movie!). I would like to see the it's a small world Holiday makeover as well. Anything else that we see and do will just be an extra.

Tuesday late night flight to MCO.
Wednesday (Day five) is our day to rest, hit MK for evening fireworks.
Thursday (Day six) through Monday (Day ten): explore WDW, get to a Christmas party.
Tuesday (Day eleven) evening flight back to Boston.

Flights I can get for about $500 for all legs involved, per person. But my questions are regarding tickets, hotels, and food. We usually stay at Moderate or Value resorts, so hotel isn't much of an issue. But is there a way to have a package for both Disney locations, or do we do a "split stay" of sorts?

Have I gone over the Disney deep end or does this sound feasible? The other option was a weekend trip in October to DL and our annual week long trip to WDW in December. Or we could skip the DL trip until DD5 is older and I could take her to NYC for her birthday and do an American Doll experience.

Any help would be great!

I'm here to help!

First of all, the plan seems to be pretty good! Disneyland is pretty small (have you been before?) and can be explored in 2 days. I also think it sounds smart to go to Disneyland first to "break in" to the trip.

The plan for Disney World sounds pretty good too! Are you going to go into the park to watch the fireworks? Unless you have an annual pass, I would watch the fireworks from the Polynesian beach to save a ticket for later.

As far as I know, you have to do two seperate packages, but I'm not entirely sure...Personally, I would go to DL in October and then to WDW in December to spread out the fun, but that's just me.

Let us know what you decide! :thumbsup2
