Doin it in Style @ The Poly! September 2010 Here we Come!!!

Thank you. The Poly is such a beautiful and romantic resort :goodvibes

You can't go wrong with either of those restaurants so any choice you made would have been a good one :thumbsup2 Hope you enjoy Le Cellier :)

You could take a pic in yours and your nana's spot so you can show her when you get home, bet she will love that :)

Coolbeans about the soft openings, looking forward to seeing peoples pics/reviews on the place.

Hi there. Was just able to catch up on what I missed.

For your early ADR's, it's so wonderful to take pictures in the parks before they get too crowded. Maybe on those days you can take a cab instead of Disney transportation? That will give soopafly a chance to sleep in a bit later. :rolleyes1 My DH HATES when I do early ADR's and we have to leave the resort before 7 a.m. He says that it's not much of a vacation when I do that to him. :lmao:

I am looking forward to your "must do" lists. It seems that mine look the same each trip. :lmao: I keep telling myself that I must be adventurous and try new things.

My binder has a section that I named "day by day." I have a small notebook that I jot down notes in during the time that we spend in the queues. At the end of the night, I go to the page for the day in my binder and write brief reminders for my TR. I also put each page in a separate sheet protector and take all of our receipts from the day and put them inside the protector. When I get home it makes it easier for me to see what we spent out of pocket and to see what we would have spent if we didn't do free dining.

Looking forward to reading more. popcorn::

Ohhh, I love the idea of sheet protectors! I am definitely going to have to put a Disney Binder together this trip. Last trip I had briefly read about some people making them and I thought "I'll be fine." But I remember spending time each day trying to find everything I needed and organizing it so I didn't come home with a big mess to begin my reports! :)

It's a fabulous way to stay organized! My family though I was nuts at first but now they look forward to the binder. It's the collection of all receipts, etc. Makes it so much easier and I spend very little time making notes, etc. at the end of the day.

Stefy and Soopafly................LOVE YOUR PHOTO SESSION PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your Poly photo pics are great! I especially liked the one where the two of you were walking on the beach....

You're brave souls for a 7am bus trip. I couldn't do it and my DH would kill me too. He could care less about empty park pics so he'd say 'see ya!' and meet up with me later in the day!

I might take a leaf out of your book too. We usually just tend to cram all our receipts into an envelope and stuff it somewhere in our suitcase.

Thanx, was alot of fun :goodvibes

Rumour is April 9th, after the crazy Easter crowds! :cool1:

Ooh thats not far away now, v exciting :wizard:

Thank you :goodvibes I have a couple of other beach pics and there is one in particular that might make you laugh.

Sometimes it takes a while for us to get used to the time difference so we tend to get up quite early sometimes for the first few nights. I am used to getting up early anyway and Dave is used to being woken up early  But I can understand where your DH is coming from, sometimes you just want a lie in on vacation, but then again it is Disney

Oh off to work now, will try and update you guys later.

Have a Magical Day :tink:

Hi Guys

I just looked back through the photo shoot pics and I see that I haven't really posted that many (as we took so many, over 100). So I thought I would post some more. They are good pics, but I am very insecure about my teeth and Dave a little about his Psoriasis. But what the heck lets post some as they are pretty good (apart from those little flaws). I'll try and post some of the natural shots (these are my fav type of photos) as Shannon (our photographer) did quite well in capturing them.

If anyone decides to do a shoot here, I would recommend Shannon as she was great fun to work with and she even took us to two extra areas (the tree and the grassy area - I think) that they don't normally take pics there.

Anywho, enough rambling, more pics :teeth:

Now these are all in random order, but will put commentary on them for you.

This is the one that I was referring to about me looking like I am shouting at Dave

I like this one, its like a papparazzo shot

Left these two out before, don't know why :confused3

Another Kiss Shot!

This one makes me laugh so much :lmao: It looks so rude, but there was no rudeness to be had FYI.

Don't know why I did this, but was fun

The infamous hammock. I have never really been on a hammock before and (to me) it was not as easy to get on as I thought it would have been. But then I guess that just weird awkward me. I remeber struggling to get on and then finding it hilarious hence this shot

It really was so much fun, esp when you get a great photogtapher to work with :goodvibes

A non PTR update for you. I was browsing the UK Community Board and thought it would be fun to enter into a Easter Exchange.

You give your details and what you like etc and the Organiser sends you the same details for your Secret Easter Buddy.

Once I received my details I was on a mission to find a present for my buddy. I found the perfect present on the Disney Store online, a Winnie the Pooh plush in a plush egg, I even personalised it with their Dis Board Name and also put some chocolate eggs in there too. Satisfied with my purchase I packed it up and sent it off. It arrived yesterday and from the sounds of it my Secret Buddy loves it :thumbsup2

My gift arrived this morning and I :lovestruc them

I got some face mask cream type thingies, a bag of chocolate eggs, a box of Princess Cupcake mix and a gorgeous Princess Tiana towel. I love them all and can't wait to make the cupcakes, but the great thing about it was that I was actually contemplating buying a towel from the Disney Store to use when we go to the Poly (for the beach and fireworks) and also for the waterparks.

I felt a little bit bad that I only got my Buddy one present and some chocolate, as everyone else got lots of stuff, but then I am new at this, so will know for next time.

Can't wait for the next Gift Exchange :goodvibes

I love all the pictues from your Photo Shoot. You two look so cute:lovestruc I don't know why but it made me laugh that someone I'm assuming is from the USA sent you Cadbury chocolate. It tastes better over there! Or maybe you exchanged with another UKer.

Thank you :goodvibes

The exchange was only open to UK Members, haven't opened those choccies for eating yet though, which is very restrained for me.

Your either shouting or leaning in saying, "Whaaat?!?" What were you trying to do in the 'rude' pic?? :rotfl: The natural shots are the best!

Your easter present sounded wonderful! The personalization with the DIS name is a great touch! I would have loved it too... I think you did quite well.

Stefy,

Your PP pictures are very nice! You really had a great photographer. You both look so cute!

Your Easter Buddy gifts are awesome! :thumbsup2 Way to go!!!

I'm hoping that your October hours come out soon!

:rotfl: Dave thinks I was squinting because of the sun, but who knows.

That other pic, I have no idea, guess I was trying to snuggle in to his chest but she took the shot just as I closed my eyes perhaps :confused3

Thank you :goodvibes I really liked the idea of the personalisation with the Dis Board name as its something different and more personal.

Thanx :goodvibes Shannon was great fun to work with and I think she had fun working with us too.

Thanx, they are really cool. Am hooked on this exchange thing now though, which may not be good for my ever receding bank balance

I know, the skeleton is up on the website, wish they would fill it in now though.

Hello All

Hope your weekends are going well so far.

Me and Dave went to Oxford Street for a spot of shopping. I actually came back with what I set out to buy (which is rare).

I got two jackets for the Spring/Summer

and I finally bought some Shape Ups from Skechers.

You get a DVD with them as well to show you some simply exercises etc which is cool, as when I tried them on it was kinda weird feeling, like rocking back and forth on your heels and toes. Looking forward to trying them out though, am supposed to start going on some stomps (power walking) with a friend soon and these should be perfect (hopefully want to progress to jogging after that).

Cute jackets and shoes. You mention that the shoes come with a video...know that that means if you are me? It means that I will fall on my face! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Can't wait to hear how the Shape-ups work for you. My cynical self thinks they sound too good to be true:rolleyes:

I really like those jackets, especially the darker one. I'm curious how those Sketchers work out (get it, work out? :rolleyes1) for you.

I tried them out today and wasn't out for v long, but I do like them. From time to time I get a bit wobbly, as Dave noticed that my heels and toes don't touch the floor, so I tend to lean one way or another, hence the wobbly

Am looking forward to trying out my "stomps" in them.
